Great,I wish even I had that amount of time, atleast to ride from Mumbai.Originally posted by rubber_stamp_champ View PostAll right guys, I have 2 weeks (maybe a couple of days more) in hand and want to ride the West Coast. The ride will be a CL500 this time as I've parted away with the Mile Muncher (220Fi).
As far as the schedule is concerned, the dates are not fixed as of now, but the tentative would be somewhere around mid September. The West Coast Ride

Do not miss Agumbe ghats even if you've to miss Mangalore; prepare a route covering Agumbe ghat if you haven't planned to include. But be prepared for monsoon though.
Plenty of options to stay; but depends what you'd like to see; harbor, palace,Originally posted by rubber_stamp_champ View PostDay 10:
In and around Kochi
Stay at: ??? Still to find out.
Here comes the fun; there're 2 routes; one is straight highway (don't even imagine a median, most places its two lane). Another is fun filled twisties up & down the hill & good road condition. What would you chooseOriginally posted by rubber_stamp_champ View PostDay 11:
Kochi-Kanyakumari: 300km
?
Accomodation can be found out; but why miss Trivandrum? There're lot of sight seeing to be done around Trivandrum & TVM-K'Kumari is only 80 Kms. Ideally you can plan to see sunset at K'Kumari, stay overnight, watch the sunrise again & head to TVM. Meet xBhp folks & then visit Padmanabhasamy temple, palace, Veli village, IIRC, there's a dam too & by then its evening.
Like I said before, when in KA, Agumbe & then try visiting Horanadu & Kudremukh. Very scenic & lovely places.Originally posted by rubber_stamp_champ View Postlease let me know of there is something that needs to be added/removed??
In KL, TVM. From Kochi, visit Kalady if you're interested to see the birth place of great Lord Adi Shankara & Tripunithura Bolgatty Palace.
BTW, what's itinerary on your return leg?Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

Now...I'll be visiting in the month of september. Maybe second week starting. How about the weather conditions then!!!??
Moreover, it would be a great help if you can alter the itinerary as you think it to be right. That would be a great help
Do not worry about the stressed ride. I had a similar GQ ride.
where it was Reach-Explore-Move Out
...the TVM thingy looks cool. WI'm considering that.
And as far as kochi is concerned, would love to stay around the harbor....
but the main question!!! how about the weather!!!! I dont really want to ride in rainsThe best things in life are realized on two wheels!

hanks for the input guys!!
Can anyone answer the following questions:
1. Where the hell is this Bhau Cha Dhakka in Mumbai, where I can find the ferry to Rewas. Of if not that place, for that matter, can I take the bike to Rewas/
Alibaug from the Gateway of India Ferry Wharf???
2. How feasible would it be to load a loaded C5 on a ferry. Will that be a pain or can be done easily?? Any advice regarding the same??
3. Hows NH17 after crossing Ganpatipule?? Plan to take the highway after that to Goa!
I'm leaving on 1st, so please pour in your comments before that. It would be a great help if someone could tell me how the weather is behaving along the Konkan!!!
Thanks in advanceThe best things in life are realized on two wheels!
