Roads really look scary. At least I would be scared and I was scared when I toured in Uttaranchal on roads like these with no protection on cliff edges... especially when there is decent tarmac and you can actually move fast around the edges.

    Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Finally how did you recover your flat tyred Bike that you left back at the Hydro Power station that had no power?

Edit; The Unicorn is one of the best performers and one of the most underrated bikes that is out there! Though I do not know how well or poorly it plays at 3000 metres altitude, coz Badrinath is just about 3000 metres if I am not mistaken.

The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

yes Ken da, some parts were really scary... and of course the protection at the cliff edges adds extra confidence... and in uttranchal i felt scary for another reason, u could see clearly some 10-12 kms of roads ahead of you looking like threads on the hills..
and there were really some wide patches of road with very good tarmac (BRO effect) where u can get very decent speedo, but there were no protection on cliff edge...

and about the flat tyre, fixed it myself on next day... and i was very successful in my first attempt...

and yes, Unicorn is the best performer in it's segments.... it performed very well again like the Himachal ride... i faced absolutely no problem with pillion on board... tough some stretches were 2nd/1st gear material...

Oh I loved those pics and why not! I love uttranchal, it's way much quite than Himachal and have least trafic on the roads, you can ride with no fear of oncoming traffic on the curves, at least you'll get no oncoming traffic on the wrong side (your side). This time I have ridden to Hatu with Sunny and I really missed that lonelyness in the hills what I get in Uttranchal, for what we go to hills.

Anyways a great trip that you have completed and yes please keep those pictures flowing in, they are simply awesome.
