Guys this is my first post.
Have done many rides till date but i joined xbhp just few days back.
Will just upload the pics of my till date rides

This ride was decided a night before it actually took place.I've to pass the NH50 on my way to college. On the NH5o i just stopped and glanced leftwards...Just like in a movie i could see myself cruising the highway in fast forward motion right upto malshej ghat..And then i was Resolute

That evening i went to my fellow Xbhpian Pranav's place and told him the same. We both have been to malshej ghat on the way to Mahuli fort trek back in december.
But we had heard the 'Malshej In Monsoon' tales and were quite eager to check it out.
Pranav suggested we ride to Naneghat as we hadn't been there since years!
    So Naneghat was decided!

Next morning i was ready at 7am. My Mom was really Shocked to see me Up so early and hurriedly getting ready for going to college!!
I took my helmet, jacket and gloves to which my mom almost fainted
Met pranav and nachiket at the NH4 and we were Ready to go!

We decided to ride Non-stop and quick uptill junnar since we'd to get back within college time

First stop at narayangaon to ask the directions...checked the air pressure in the apache

After junnar the bad roads started

Roads went from bad to worse!!
    traction was going down!!

But the scenic beauty was mesmerizing!!
we took short breaks just for photos and continued towards naneghat quickly

Then the road turned black again but still not any better and we were completely surrounded by clouds!! We knew naneghat is not far

We were quite happy to have made it to naneghat in just 3 hours while we'd estimated atleast 3.5!! Since the time on road available now increased it was time for OFFROADING!!

Took the bikes till the very edge!!

We came back quickly since we had to race against time. Finally reached Naneghat after 15 mins from there. It was all cloud-covered and visibility was poor! Yet the White patch in between naneghat looked amazingly awesome and appealing!!
This pic was taken when we got a lil bit of clearing off the clouds.

We were expecting some exceptionally gr8 landscapes at naneghat so we'd brought a tripod!! however it was rendered totally useless coz of the wind!
The Gale force winds Literally shook my p220 which i parked on the side stand!!

After a few 'solo' and 'with respective bike' photos of everyone we locked the helmets to the bikes and decided to enter naneghat.

Here are few clicks from naneghat

    Cave at naneghat

    It was very well camouflaged!!

Some ancient script in the cave

    View from the cave

We enjoyed naneghat but since it was all covered with clouds there was no point in waiting there for long. So we decided to go to Malshej Ghat!!!

took left from naneghat again and headed towards malshej ghat

Waterfalls on the way Where the water just dint FALL

    Aah finally some traffic

    IT was no Road!!

Bikes's suspensions were really put to test here! I feeling even more for mine since i was riding with a pillion!

Finally after about 2 hours of riding on 1st and 2nd gear we were on the NH222!!
Happiness was in finding you are on top gear

It was well past 2pm and we were really hungry now.So we stopped at a small Dhaba and had 'Misal-Paav'. I dont know whether it was actually or not..But it tasted Amazingly Awesome!
There was beautiful view of dam from the dhaba

The black line u can see over the water in the left corner is the dam(N) wall . All of a sudden you would see a a Gust of clouds Come from the behinf the wall and spread over the water surface!! It was truely amazing!!
It was as if Nature's Having HUKKA on the other side of the wall
Although i know direct comparison would be idiotic but the watersurface was made up of different colours!! Reminded me of my dream...Ride to Pangong-Leh-Ladakh

All of a sudden Pranav remembered that results were to be distributed tommorow in college!! That'd mean no rides for atleast a month! So why not make this a Mighty one!! He had one crazy idea. Instead of riding back straight n quick via NH50 we go via Murbad-Karjat and via the NH4 back to pune!! i knew it'd time
I called up home and said i'll be late coz of some project work
We then packed everything including wallet and Cellphones in plactic bags because we knew the Great Malshej Ghat awaits ahead!!

In just under 5 mins since we started, we were attacked by dense clouds and heavy rain!! The clouds were so dense that i could actually see the the long focus of my HI beam in Broad daylight!!
The visibility level was bare minimum But the enjoyment level was to the fullest!!
Because of the dense fog we dint click any pics, just recorded a video.
The waterfalls were ACTUALLY falling Onto us on the road! It was heavenly!!
CAUTION: If you are visiting malshej ghat in monsoons plz make Sure that your headlamp and tail-lamp are in perfect working condition!!

Just as we started Descending the clouds suddenly dissapeared and we were just lost in the beauty of mother nature
We parked our bikes and clickd very few snaps..

we recorded a video of the entire serene view around us and also the many Reverse waterfalls that we could see from there.
Now we were to ride on the Most beautiful road in maharashtra...the NH222!!

i shall conclude with the pics of the final part of the ride..NH222

After a very long time I could see the awesome pictures of a trip log. I don't know but most of the other trip log photos are not visible to me as I access XBHP most of the time from office

Truly fantastic!! Mother nature paints the ghats & hills with a different hue of green which so refreshing. Amazing photos guys!! Fantastic. You must share this trip with your parents. Cheers guys.

Awesome write up coupled with pics.. Welcome to Xbhp bro.. You brought my good old memories of Malshej rides back to life.. Its a place which never disappoints.. 5 rides to malshej in last 12 months & still the excitement to go back there is as much as it was before my first Malshej ride.. We have a Malshej-bhandardhara ride planned up pretty soon.. I just hope malshej is as beautiful as it is in your pics when we visit next month.

              Nice Trip.

Better the P220 Rider wears shoes and not the sandals. That too when one is doing good amount of offroading.

Ya actually i wasn't expecting such a big ride but i did realize its important!
Especially because P220 spelts so much of mud and small small stones from the road that they were actually pricking me

I wish i could do something about it im strictly against putting up that big flex kinda thing on the leg gaurds..it doesnt look gud
