JJ. It took me a moment to start calling up all the guys, who did a commendable job hurrying up and joining us. Pramir has gone the extra mile and took the next step by printing stickers for the bikes, bearing the logo of BULLZzz. As we affixed the stickers on a few bikes, it seemed that it was starting to drizzle. We had a pretty fine weather since the last two days, and hoping it to be excellent on the trip day. But low pressure in the sea took its toll and we ended up in a light rain. Hoping that it would stop soon, we started off on the journey. We headed to Acharya Vihar to pickup Ranjan, who was a bit late. So we called him up and told him to meet us at Rasulgarh Square, where Soumya was supposed to come. Soon enough, the group was complete.
What had started as a drizzle, had now began bothering us, and soon we decided to take a stop at a highway petrol pump. Knowing that it was raining in Cuttack as well, we headed in the rain and soon reached Cuttack. We had hoped to get a breakfast there in a decent restaurant, but all were closed at the hour. We took shelter beside the Bajaj showroom in Link Road. Meanwhile, Yati had made lots of request and threats to the almighty to stop the rain, but without avail. We moved on the way and took a breakfast stop near his house, feasting on poories and sabjiLShivlingashrams and reached the Shivling. After Pramir and Somnath offered their prayers, we decided to move up a little to reach the mouth of the stream. Water was coming out of a small outlet, hardly noticeable and a statue was standing on the top. We decided to head back, since the trail was bad and nothing significant was there ahead. Coming down cautiously, we bumped into some strange creatures (small ones onlyJJ from DostanaJ. Driving at a moderate speed, we entered Dhenkanal and let out a big sigh of relief. Having been stranded in the hill so long, the sights of the town was like salvation to us. At a railway crossing, we decided to stop for a quick snack before heading back to BBSR. Soumya led us to a foodie place, where we had a delicious experience at a chaat End timeOdometer readingLast edited by diffuser911; 11-03-2008, 04:42 PM.

Wow! I've been looking for this! For the past two days I've been doing so much research to see some pictures of Kapilash. Thanks for sharing the pictures and logs, Diffuser! A wonderful ride, I should say!
I'll PM you my email address. Kindly send me the entire set of Kapilas/Saptasajya pictures.
Any idea on the hotels in Dhenkanal? Also, how far is Ratnagiri/Udayagiri/Lalitagiri from Dhenkanal? I read that it is under 100 kms from Cuttack. All men dream, but not equally. Those that dream at night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act upon their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. - T. @kirosh: pm'ed my concerns about sending by mail yaar, but will upload on xBhp soon. Dhenkanal hotels?? Not that I know any, but there is a Panth Niwas, which is a government maintained resort-kinda place near the outskirts of the city. You can check out the details on the net at OTDC.
About the hills you mention, those are near Bhubaneswar, which is 30 km from Dhenkanal. So they will be a one-day journey for you.
