Frost, drenched, exhausted, hands completely numb, sleepless (due to the pain!), crows shitting on you, bike's bits and pieces scattered over the road, slippery roads, and you did not dare mentioning what your butt was feeling like (not to mention your sister's!)

...."AND THAT WAS A WONDERFUL JOURNEY" !!!

        You're definitely a BIKER!

Well: the cop-carrying session does not seem to fit in the "delights you endured!", though......

Thanks for the soooo lively description of this epic journey. One thing I enjoyed too (absolutely no mocking there) was to hear you on the small video with your superb Indian accent! Was very surprised to hear you speaking English and not Hindu...???!!? I have never gone to your great country - or not yet! - and did not know you would speak English together (and absolutely perfect written English too....much better than on any American forum )

Your bike got the "big bore" kit, ain't it? How would it have been with the 153cc. original engine???

When I do something stupid, my consolation is to know that I'll do the worse one only once!

LOL , Glad you liked it .

          But hey ! clarifications ...

          1. Butt was in no trouble whatsoever . Only the last 12 kms to home were painful . Beautiful roads with breaks did not allow the butt to get sore . the sister on the other hand accompanied me for only about 150kms on the entire ride . The rest of the time she was in the car ...

          2. The crow took a liking to my friend ... Maybe I wasn't interesting enough . so I escaped it's wrath ( read "poop" )

          3. Again on the video there are two people . One is me and the pillion is a friend of mine . But yeah anyway the Indian accent is famous as it is .

          4. The bike is stock , except for the sprocket mod . so it's the original 153cc engine ( that explains the difficulty in lugging the cop )

Another small correction if i may , language is HINDI ... Hindu-ism is a religion .

                Awesome trip-log!

I don't know what it is about your writing, but it was REALLY interesting and entertaining to read your log! I've done similar rides but never penned my experiences down.. Will try doing that once I do another ride! Cheers once again to an awesomely written experience..
A good rider has balance, judgment, and good timing. So does a good lover!

Nice t'log and pics. You made me relive a one day Bangalore - Ooty - Bangalore road trip which I had with couple of buddies, all R15s. Good, scenic roads. We did not cover coonor and other places u mentioned though, will cover those over the next trip! Tks for taking efforts to pen down the journey.

Nice to read it all up..

But the sprocket episode shocked me. Was it due to the 15T mod?? I reckon the stock 14T would have done fine if you take the average!! (Ghats and Normal roads together)

Yep it was pretty much because of the mod . the 15T flew on the highways which kind of made up 80% of the ride . It was good on the hills too with a single rider ... the pillion ( and a heavy one at that ) is what messed it up
