I absolutely jumped at that ... I was fidgeting the whole time as the plan was still unclear ... Dropped in at 8pm to find out what the plan is , found out that they plan to leave the next day by 5:30am ... And the plan was to go to Mysore , stay there for a day and then head out to Ooty and stay there for 4 days and then go to coimbatore and come back ... I was just thrilled at this piece of info ... 5 DAYS on two wheels ... that was like biking nirvana to me , as i was cooped up at home for months due to a back injury ...

Reached home by 11:30pm . Packed whatever clothes I could find into a bag , included my tool kit , puncture kit and slept . Took me some time as i was excited as hell ...

Aug 31st - 5:00am (Day 1)

I feel like my whole world is shaking ... My first thought . Oh no !!! Earth quake ... Second thought . GOD the ride is GONE !!! ... A few seconds later a song starts playin , a slow ballad and I realize , It's my stupid phone vibrating ... Alarm .

Checked the time and shot out of bed , trying to set everything up , the bag was still a mess ... Packed the bags , took all the essentials for me and the bike ... My mom was at her usual best with the last minute persuasion to drop the ride ...

My bro drops in by 5:30 and I take my time getting all the gear in place and we head out to catch the others by 5:45 ... Leave Bangalore by 6:00AM ... My sis had the unfortunate task of riding pillion ... And she absolutely hated it ...

Had quite an uneventful ride out of town and soon i was cruising on an open and traffic free mysore road ... Our first stop was at kamat loukaruchi ...

After a Half hour stop for breakfast and deciding on the next stop we headed back out on the absolutely serene mysore road , after cruising down the first stretch i decided it was time to up the pace ... The speeds now ranged between 100-110kmph with a pillion and the 15T setup worked brilliantly now ...

And then our first " oh shit " ( pardon the expression ) moment ...
Somewhere along the way , I felt a bit of weight on my back and I knew my sis was covering behind my back to avoid the wind and then it all happened in a flash , the weight suddenly shifted from the centre and moved to the right , she was bout to fall off , I counter balanced the bike pulled all my weight to the left and that jerk at that speed WOKE her up ... she was blissfully sleeping and my heart was in my mouth ... how could anyone sleep travelling at 120 kays still baffles me ... After that I was always on the lookout to check if she dozes off again and that dropped my speeds a little ... we reached the turn-off to sangam and wanted to know how to get to ranganthittu as I thought I had missed the right turn there ... we stopped near a cop and again we got the wierd looks due to our appearance ... got our directions and headed on to Ranganthittu , waited for the car to catch up and then headed in ...

After spending an hour and a half in ranganthittu , we headed out to Balmuri falls which was a 15 minute drive .... and when we made it there we realised that the water level was too darn high to get in ... so feeling a bit dejected we found another spot a little bit further up where we could try and get in ... The currents where just too high . so we moved out of balmuri and headed to mysore to find our guest house ... Reached there in about half an hour , and by now it was 3pm ... had a bit of rest and by 5-30 we decided to head out to KRS dam ... and then like clockwork the rain gods decided to pay a visit ... After circling around mysore trying to find directions to KRS in the mad rain , we finally made it there by 7-30 ... Had a quick walk through KRS as they closed at 8pm ... KRS dam done and so were we ... Headed back home and crashed for the day ... Not many Pics thanks to the rain but managed only a couple , sharing them anyway .

was in mysore on wednesday and ooty from thursday to sunday ... was back in bangalore on sunday evening ... That makes it 5 days in all
