  • Hosur - Denkanikottai - Anchetty - Kanakapura - Bangalore : A fun to ride route

Found this route from another forum. Just a little before you enter Hosur, take a right and you can proceed to Denkanikottai. Then Anchetty, Kanakapura and Bangalore. It is a loop of approximately 225 KM with a bit of almost everything - four lane highways, village roads, ghats, forest area, hairpin bends, wildlife crossing zones, dry and hot zones and two lane highways. It is a bit of everything. Abhinesh, Raju and myself tried this road over the weekend. We were able to do quite a bit of off roading too! It was around 225 KM but it took us about 8 hours! We had a lot of fun along the way. Here are some pics.

    Roads were mostly so free.

Till the end of our line of sight, we could see only grass and a lake. To get here, we had to take a small mud road somewhere where it ended abruptly next to a school. Some crazy riding here took us to this splendid place. We spent a lot of time here trying out power slides!

    And some nap too!

    One nice place for pics!

    Meet Abhinesh. The whiskey swami!

This was another place before Denkanikottai. Totally splendid. No matter how far we tried to see in any direction, we could find only grass and a few trees. Some crazy off roading was needed to get here again. But it was unlike anything we have seen. Definitely worth it.

I must say that India lives in its beautiful villages. This road is a must try for everyone atleast once.

Could you post the route through google maps?
