A mini trip, we may call it as I rode for 302 kms to be exact.

Now, what's with the title?
Kolaveri in tamil relates to anger/frustration in English. I don't know the exact translation but it does relate to anger, and so is my story.
Last Friday, i.e; yesterday I got a good thrashing from my project lead related to a few bugs I couldn't solve in the whole week. I worked till 11 PM at night (I go in the morning shift - 7 AM to 4 PM) but all in vain. So I returned home disgusted. Needed a break to rejuvenate. Slept as soon as I came back.
But dunno why I woke up at 4 AM and couldn't sleep as the PL's face was buzzing around in my head.
4:15 AM, the plan was made. Pondicherry!!!
I tried waking up my room mate but got only a few kicks in return.

Hence a solo ride.
4:30 AM, got fresh and packed my ride's documents and spares and toolkit, manual and what not.
5:00 AM, I was ready to leave. Only one loss in the entire trip was that I forgot my digicam at home.

So, please bear the pics taken from my Samsung handset - a puny 3.2 MP camera.

Had to tank my bike as the reserve indicator was blinking.
I went to the nearest petrol pump and filled my steed with 500 INR worth of food (7 litres) and got the tyre pressure checked. All fine, Jet Set Go!!!
Man, I must say, ECR is beautiful!!! I felt cold even after wearing my full riding gear. The trees on both sides of the ECR (SH-49) gave me a completely different experience as compared to the Sultry Chennai climate.
Cool air, aah!!!
Since my phone doesn't have flash, I couldn't get pics before 6:30 AM.
Sun rose, and the wannabe photographer within me came to life.
Clicking pics when traffic was negligible, I reached Pondy by 7:40 AM.

Cornering around the ocean on the opposite side.

Another smooth bend!

This stretch helped me pull a top whack of 116 kmph!!! My fastest till date.

Another pic of my ride. I simply love my bike!

With the clouds getting heavy, I expected rain! But it cleared after a while.

Finally Pondy!!!
Now, a few pics of the place.

Gandhi ji standing tall and my ride at his heels...

Chacha Nehru, not far away either...

A public park, was nice to see people in the age group 60+ playing badminton!

Office of some higher authority. Sneaked out this pic somehow!

French colony begins here.

No Idea what it means, but I felt good. The words looked posh enough to make me take a snap.

An alley. People in pondy use alley vis-a-vis we use streets. Again, alley sounds too good to say. Now on, I'd mention my house in the 14th alley instead of 14th street.

Domestic help. Or domestic hell???

Did I just hear someone say - "Poser"?
[Need for speed Bajaj Extreme....
]
Tata Nano ka bada bhai Reva, though size me chota reh gaya.

All creatures have a free licence to roam in Pondy's alleys!!!

A glimpse of the ocean. So near yet so far!

Wonder what these guys do!

A handsome French statue. I guess he was a martyr.

Le Cafe. Had heard a lot about this place. Its beautifully located at the sea side.

My cup of hot Cappuccino.
Italy, yeah!!! Ducati, Rossi, Biaggi, Monica Bellucci and now Cappuccino too!

Finally, me!!! Wanted to show my new sunglasses. He he!
Left for Chennai at noon. Reached back by 2:30 PM.
Overall figures:-
Distance - 302 kms
Top Speed - 116 kmph
Mileage - 43+ and still going.

I hope my xbhp bros like this "micro trip" log.
Cheers!
