    5*.

So, Where are you going today?

Good question. Usually asked by an understanding parent/wife/sibling/roomie for different reasons.

I wouldn't know! Most of my rides have been unplanned and 'insane'. I used to feel I am the odd one out, but then I met level 2,3,4,5,6 etc. What started as a teashop run eventually would end after 30 odd hours. Absolutely no plan. But absolute bliss.

Of course those were the days, when one wasn't aware of International organizations honoring ones backside and showering them with 'suitable' titles, one could hang around... err i mean like room or something.

Wonder if it would be better if this true biker thread was named, "So, Where did you go today?"

    - kindly refrain from posting thy daily bread butter carrot run or going to office and coming back, yes same office for 20 years, if you rode a horse, it would take you there without GPS etc please!

Pintu - Tks, but, IMHO, the pics are not even upto the standards of what people take here. I honor your comments

Atkins - Thanks for dropping by your comments; Good luck with your trip

Hermit - I'm stumbled!!! What did I do to get 5*? Anyone (and everyone) in xBhp is doing this most Sundays. Thank you very much, I'll keep the flow going through the Sundays I do the ride. Tks.

          harishkumarko - Thanks

Haroon - Absolutely; riding always remains close; infact, I've to admit, it has become more fun, more enjoyable just because of senior riders like you, not only the advices, not only the knowledge you share but the inspiration that you continue giving us.

          Coming up next one...

            Dec 2010

Can't forget the days my cousin who just stepped to college visited us for Christmas vacation; I precisely remember the date (28-Dec) because the next day we packed our bags & left to KA, ofcourse by car, just like that. No idea where to stay, no idea where to go. Everything was decided on the fly. Sometimes it makes me wonder, having a girl by your side...does that complicate things ?

Anyway, it was Sunday morning & I took my cousin to our regular G2G & he had no idea what he would witness. That was the time just after my Rx was built & did not have my CEEBER & he was a pillion. Needless to say, he had one of kind of experience in his life. Some pics that he took using his Samsung GT-S8500...

As usual, the gang meets at Besant Nagar beach, while we talk our usual crap (termed by non bikers ), my Cousin goes to shoot the beach

Once the full gang arrives, we ride to Tiger caves

            At Tiger caves...

After this myself & Cousin split up from the gang towards Radisson for a hefty B'Fast; after the B'Fast we ride back & to our great surprise, we catch up with the gang once again & what do we see now? My Cousin couldn't believe there're such bikes

            Customary pics...

Looking at the above pic...Whizzkid switched to Ninja 250R, Xinfii switched to Ninja 650R, ST7, SriramEFunds switched to ZMA, Ananth switched to Ninja 250R, gabriel_john, VirusPatel are not to be seen after that, ofcourse Rx is enjoying a retirement life with CBR 250R with yours truly hehe

We started somewhere around 5:00 in the morning, caught up with Whizzkid_Ram on his Green Dio (now he has a Green Hornet ) & ride up to Bessy, visit Tiger caves, then to Mahabalipuram Radisson, way back to ECR-Kelambakkam-Vandaloor-Home for over 140+ Kms that day. The damn tiny little 132cc never gave up even with two up!!!

It is very true, that each and everyone is doing that most sundays or whenever they have the time, I would say its more of an unplanned riding for the sake of riding.

                We all have done it.

Most of the lucky ones do it.

We don't really talk about it.

But, such a topic strums the strings of an old guitar, stimulating the mostly malfunctioning memory!

Apart from all this music (?) I would say, this is the true essence of biking.

Its different! perhaps like maggie sauce. But, the excitement or some excuse to ride off. or the peace, when one is in just the company of his/her ride, absolutely deserted road, with no care in the world, just stopping for fuel and a cuppa tea.

That's exactly why this tread got the 5*.

                (P.S : I do hope RG wasn't complainin! )

                      Mar 2012

Something is really going wrong with me these days!!! First I'd to skip the Kutralam ride owing to poor health & that also forbid me from riding for several days; so I made up my mind by compensating for another Sunday ride.

Precisely just before the ride day, that too after midnight, I'd a mild temperature , throat infection accompanied by flum!!! I went mad, took a crocin & was determined to ride, no matter even if I fall from the bike.

This time its a whole new experience for me & CBR as we stepped to AP officially (6th state visit now). AP always is a terror to me; every time I see AP as people walking on the roads & vehicles driving on foot path (same like Pondicherry) [no offense to anyone, just my observation though] The most scariest registration number to me is...AP16. So I called in sayhi2sai on his Red ABS accompanied by his friend Varun on his Black ABS, ofcourse yours truly; thus the CBR brothers rode with pride to AP for B'Fast

Fun lies in these roads than NH...how many of you agree ?

                      All for this

                      And then the ride back

The return leg from Puttur was an exceptional (nonetheless than the route we took from NH5 towards Sathyavedu, which was brilliantly superb) where the roads were semi broken & the CBR brothers were gliding on it like we'd air suspensions. But we did realize the need for butt break after 60+ Kms & stopped between Tiruvallur-Thirumazhisai road, where the factory of good times is located We also realized that the factory itself is located at a place of good times; 4 lane, median, both sides fields, mango gardens at a distance, what more could one ask? We started around 5:50 in the morning & planned to reach Chennai before lunch. The funny thing is we all rode nostalgically that we forgot the time & when I got home the ODO clocked 245 Kms at 10:40 AM.

End of the day it was more than a ride to me; I enjoyed riding with sayhai2sai & our friend Varun so much that, I wanted to ride elsewhere. But I hope we'll do that someday.

We ride over several hundred Kms for the breakfast; sometime the same we eat everyday; some ask me, why the hell do you people ride for so long to have that 2 idlies or one tea?
