Awesome pics + narration bro.. Food pics are mind blowing.. A complete Non Veg fiesta.. You should put a disclaimer for veggies out here :P

Jokes apart, the pics of NH17 early morning are mind blowing.. Reminds me of our overnight ride on NH17 to Harihareshwar-Diveagar stretch.. The twisties of NH17 are so tempting that they never cease to amuse me even after numerous rides so far. Although i've been on NH17 only upto Poladpur (Yes, I didn't make it to Kashedi as I was on a tight schedule for MahaB) I assume NH17's true konkani beauty is post kashedi ghat.

Anyways, Please share more pics of NH17 if you have any
    Keep riding..

Superb blog n pics too, renewed my memories of the same ride in Nov'11. Although it would have been nice to visit Malgund (birth place of Keshavsut, 2 kms) and Jaigad (20 kms. from ganpatipule). I especially liked ur way of expressing with pics (ride ki kahaani suniye tasveeron ki jabaani).

We woke up at 0900 hrs, packed our stuff and left Ganpatipule by 1000 hrs. No pics clicked as I had left DSLR back in our room.

After riding for around 40 kms, we started to feel the heat and it was increasing slowly. It was time for an butt break. Pics taken during the break...

Me wid my loyal n faithful sweetheart

Resumed the ride after an quick break and photo shoot. The heat was becoming unbearable. I spotted an tapri in midst of an small ghat just before Sangameshwar. Badly needed to gulp some cold drinks and eat something as well bcoz we had skipped breakfast. Ordered for cold drinks and garma garam bhajiyaas...

            Typical houses in konkan

            Sunil with Dhaba wala's M80

            Any1 interested ???

            Onion Bhajiyaas

I had to meet my friend in Chiplun, so after Sangameshwar the next break was Chiplun. We reached my friend's place by 1400 hrs. Heat was totally unbearable by the time. After reaching at her place we got to know that she had cooked food for us and that too pulav. After eating rice, I started to feel fatigue. I told Sunil... "nahi, ab mai ride nahi kar sakta, bahut neend aa rahi hai". She also insisted to take a power nap and leave by 3.30 or 4. I agreed to her proposal as the heat would also be reduced by that time and we would be able to cover more kms. Woke up at 1545 hrs and resumed the ride at 1600 hrs...

Next break was directly after negotiating Parshuram ghat and Kashedi ghat. Few pics...

Yes... one has to be very alert !!!

I would like to narrate an incident over here which happened to be an very very close call... It was around 1945 hrs and it was pitch dark. The game of dipper had begun. I was riding at speed of around 90 - 100 kmph. I noticed an oncoming vehicle (single beam so it had to be an 2 wheeler) who was continuously flashing beam at me. My beam was high at that time so I switched to lower beam but even after that he kept on flashing. I checked my RVM but there were no vehicles following me. Just few seconds after that I saw him heading directly towards me. I pumped both brakes, shifted to lower gears, my bike swirled but thank God I was able to control it. My heart started to beat so fast as if it's gonna come out any moment. It was just difference of few seconds orwise it would have been an major head on collission. That @$***le was flashing his beam because he wanted to take an right and enter some village entrance
Have experienced that a few times. At first, i thought the oncoming vehicle was a 4-wheeler with one headlight down (worst thing to experience, u ride thinking u have enough space for urself, just to find at the last moment that it's a 4 wheeler instead of a 2 wheeler).

            Masala Paapad

            Paneer Chilly

            Paneer Lasuni

            Chicken Masala

Total kms covered till date is 45k + current display. I have installed new odometer hence the less count...

Left the place satisfied with our tummies full and last break was at Palm beach h'way. It was just an 5 mins break. Resumed riding and reached home by 2330 hrs. 2 days of short and sweet ride finally came to an end.

That's it folks. Hope you liked pics clicked by me and the write up too. I'll be back soon with an new ride experience, new log and hell lots of pics. Adios Fellas !!!
