Its been a long time I have posted a travelogue in xBhp.
Yesterday, I woke up late in the morning to a beautiful monsoon-type weather. No sun, rained in the night, drizzle here there in the morning, and a little chilly weather; a perfect climate for a ride. Made up my mind to ride and checked the options to where to ride. Finally decided on riding to Pocharam lake/wild-life sanctuary, a mini forest near a small lake, which is famous for birds. Sai Pranav agreed to ride along with me.
Went out to finish few tasks before the ride and had a flat tyre, in-front of a puncture shop (lucky me). Replaced the tube as it was damaged. The puncture wala praised me for maintaining the bike well (a 5.5 years old Karizma).
At 1 p.m., met Saipranav at Mahindra Satyam near Bahadurpally and rode straight to Medak (was feeling hungry as I didn't have anything since morning), with a couple of 5-minute photo-shoot breaks. The weather was very cool and cloudy, and enjoyed the ride through some twisty roads in mini forest. Had much-needed lunch at Medak and took some clicks of the world-famous Church at Medak. Rode to Pocharam lake then, 15 kms from Medak.
The lake was dry and after spending some time on the dry dam, ventured out on the lake bed, surprisingly had a green turf. There were many birds in the lake and it was really peaceful and rejuvenating to spend time in the calmness. Met another xBhpian Ravindra, who came along with his wife in car, and recognized me by my Karizma.
We spent time till 6 p.m. there and started back. After Medak it was dark and drizzling again and started to ride around 60 kmph in the forest twisties again and it was simply awesome (its quite sometime I rode at nigth).
We are back to home, after a couple of breaks in between, by 9 p.m.
