      Day 4, Kaza-Losar:

Finally we were ready to leave for Chandrataal by 1pm but beautiful vistas prevented us to achieve the destination the same day. It was approx. 4.30pm when we reached Losar. Route ahead was even more scenic, hence we decided to stay at Losar only and ride further lazily the next morning. We stayed in the same IPH inspection hut at Chichong (1km. before Losar) where I did last year.
After a cup of tea we roam around to capture the beauty of the place and taste sweet peas of Spiti.

next morning we left for Chandrataal by 6.30am. The road to Kunzum was as beautiful and as much maintained as expected
The dark clouds greeted us near the top, and making us worry for the remaining part of our journey as the toughest part was yet to be traversed and most importantly the Batal-Chandrataal route is not much friendly in the rains. thankfully they just smiled at us and passed by

few pictures taken on the way from Batal to Rohtang and then to Chandigarh. after reaching Mandi at 8pm, we decided to have night halt there and leave for Chandigarh the next morning.

                  Ahead of Batal:

After a long haul of rocky and stone scattered path this patch of straight road is so much tempting.
But mind you have a pillion to manage

The infamous nullahs of Batal-Chhatru stretch:

The Chandra river accompanied us till Chatru:

These signs of greenery after almost a week gives you goosebumps.

The common rivulets/waterfalls as seen while ascending to Rohtang:

                  Someone loves flowers

This gushing waterfall across the road was the trickiest of them all:

here comes Rohtang, though it was somewhat better than the last year as I didn't encounter irritating traffic jam:

                  View from the Rohtang:

The next morning took the diversion leading to SH88, at Ghaghas. Shri Markandeya Ashram was addition to the trip eventually which is just a 3km diversion from the road.

and here is the conlusion of the trip
