    Topic Approved.

Very nice set of pics. The Duke is being used as a tourer for quite a time now, despite critics being slightly critical of it in the starting.

Oh.. I did not wanted to mention about my son ... Actually when I told my son that we are going to the beach, his next reaction was to ride on a KTM. I immediately ran to Probiker Pune and bought saddle bag and next to go to the welder and fix the carrier stand.

The ride was very much enjoyble except few pathes, Austrian must learn to setup the suspension for Indian road.

Nivara Resort(09850481067) at Shrivardhan was the best place to stay with international standard room for 1500 INR. I checked-out MTDC harihareshwar within half an hour loosing 2500 INR after seeing the pathetic condition of the room, specially the most unhygine restaurent. Moved immediately to Divegar and opted for Exotica Retreat.

While coming back to Pune we had lunch at Orchid resort which is located at the base of Tamhini Ghat. From Tamhini Ghat to Mulshi the road condition is very bad. I had to ride at 40 KMPH, rest journey was wonderful.

was this pic taken on 29th morning around 8:30 A.M.?? am pretty sure I parked my bike (black 180 with 46 on front) next to this duke..., I was wearing a DSG maze with a Daijya helmet (going to Kaas).., and I believe you passed us while descending the ghats enroute to satara and I thought 'wow a family touring on duke, thats nice'...

                .
Now the question comes too. How did you three go on a bike ride that too logn one??

Duke has a split seat, so where was your child seating? How did you manage with a child in between you two??

Children (not fatter kids) upto the age of 4/5 can be managed between Parents easily & they don't feel to be cramped. It's way better than placing them on fuel tank on street bikes or crushing them against fuel tank on sports bike

nice pics but size matters. would be great if we can get bigger size pics..

if we talk about touring bikes, there are really very few, particularly in india. but now a days all bikes are used for touring including racing bikes, off road bikes, scooters, for whatever the reason it may be. xbhp is the best place where we see almost all bikes are used for touring. who cares the critics.

Exactly, I left my home around 7:30 AM, so we must have encountered somewhere. Earlier I was planning to go to KAAS and stay at Koyna Lake Resort. But I heard these days the KAAS valley is surrounded by fancing, so dropped that plan.

My son was sharing the front seat with me most of the time. Only once he was feeling sleepy and shared the rear seat with wife. But definitely split seat not comfirt.

Duke is not very good option for touring. If any manufacturer launches a tourer within 5-6 lakh, I would go for it. BMW F650 was very good option but she is very costly for 9 lakh introductory price.
