I'd rather be riding my motorcycle thinking about God than sitting in church thinking about my motorcycle.
Ride often, ride well, have fun.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

          Delhi - Narkanda

Ever heard the saying "Unt pe baithe aadmi ko kutta kaat jaaye" well I wasn't bitten by a dog and thank God for that, but for the first time in my life I was challaned for over-speeding. I am sure earlier (before marriage) had I been on a quest to break the land speed record on NH1, the cops wouldn't have had bothered a bit, but the first time my wife and I hit the highways on one of the most pleasant mornings, I get penalized because I was doing 84kmph.

Riding in plains is a tax that we pay to reach the Twisties

Well apart from that the rest of our ride till Narkanda was same as always. Usual breaks at Murthal, Jhilmil Karnal, Verka Milk Bar before Dera Bassi and Apple Cart-Inn near Solan before we ended our day after a 12 hour long ride. We were happy with our timing considering pillions and luggage on the bikes. After weighing all our options we decided to settle for the night at Nature Camp Narkanda. I found it better a place than the usual PWD guest house and the private hotels around there.

Few Shots of the Nature Camp at Narkanda:

Yeah, I almost laughed at the cop when he said it is 65kmph.

                        The Hatu Peak

If you happen to be at Narkanda, try not to miss Hatu Peak, for it is the among-st the most scenic, peaceful & beautiful of the places. Situated at an altitude of almost 9000 feet, covered with a thick blanket of pine trees, the peak offers you spectacular views of snow mountains. It is an ideal place for us Delhiites to seek that solitude and seclusion in mountains.
From Narkanda, a very narrow lane of about 8 kms leads you to the peak. Only 2-wheeler & small cars are advisable, can be very uncomfortable even dangerous for MUVs/SUVs and above.

                        Few Shots:

                        The valley

Looking sharp with a serene & calm backgroud

                        The reflections

                        The posers :P
