  • A short solo ride

My first ever solo ride beyond the boundaries of Bangalore,to Chikkatirupati Temple in Kolar district around 35 kms from Bangalore,on my Activa. I realized that one can give 101 reasons to back out from what they want to do,but if you listen carefully to that inner voice, she or he has one thing to say to you,"Just Do it." And when you hear that,go for it because that's when you get to know your alive.
Left home by 9am,filled petrol, checked the air pressure of the bike tyres and now I was ready to go.Took the Sarjapur route to the temple.I had been to this temple once, many years back,so vaguely remembered this route, plus I took the help of google maps before heading out.
Luckily, there were signboards to this temple everywhere,so felt relieved. The ride was amazing, perfect Bangalore weather, cloudy, cool air.Just here and there I encountered bad roads.Beautiful green everywhere once the villas and the apartments had stopped.Fresh green plantation with very little traffic on the road.At one point while I was travelling,my bike was the only bike on the road.I wanted to take pics then, but then decided to reach the temple first and then on my way back home would take pics and also I was,so enjoying the view along with the riding I really didn't wanted to be disturbed by halting at each place and taking pics. The feel of riding with the added beauty of the place cannot be captured by a camera. You got to ride it to feel it My faithful Black Beauty didn't let me down anywhere. It felt good to be out of your so called safe harbour and still enjoy some wonderful moments with yourself.
Finally I reached the temple.Their were very little people for Darshan. Took my time standing in front of the deity.I felt really good. There was more traffic while heading back.Reached back by 11:30am.
All in all,a morning well spent.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.
