@johnblr : those are some of the sharpest fotos i've seen in recent times.
and what pristine locations they are... especially the blacktop shown in the Annur to Mettupalayam road... absolutely mouth watering... my left foot started the 'one-down-all-up' movement merely looking @ that picture, man!
not to mention the duke's shocking orange, which only enhances the contrast influx of the green surroundings.
awesome fotos & a 100-shouts worth trip!

Calicut

Yes I was in Calicut. Left Ooty around 10 AM. Sultan Bhatery route I had ridden earlier hence rode through difference route to Calicut this time. Till Gudalur roads were okay. After Gudalur the route I had taken...all the way to Clicut was just too awesome. It was just ride, ride and ride that day. Clicked very less pics.

Coincidentally, the travel itinerary did match with my friend Prajish. They reached Calicut a day before I reached. I finished my lunch at Thamarassery. Prajish and his brother in law were already at Calicut beach. I directly met them there. After spending sometimes near the beach headed towards Rakhee's (Prajish's wife) house. Had fun with their family. Had quick family photo-shoot. We all planned for dinner out. We went to Hotel Sagar. Delicious food there. Enjoyed the dinner with them.


And that's how the day ends. Next day plan was to start early as I wanted to visit another city.....

Mangalore was in my mind from the day 1 I am with Letsclick Photography. I kind of very much confident that this city will be one of the most happening city for Letsclick. Keeping all this in mind I couldn't stop moving from Calicut to Mangalore. Roads are average. Hell lot of traffic on this road. One has to have cool head to ride on this street. All the time big truck etc are on the road. Upcoming traffic just don't count bikes as vehicle. Pushed me out of the road couple of times. I was sweating all over the day. Was missing last few days in Ooty.

I had to come back Bangalore as some projects popped up. Mangalore - Bangalore was pretty quick. Left Mangalore at around 9:30 AM and reached Bangalore at 3:00 PM with only one breakfast break at Kalladka. Tea at Kalladka is just too good. No one should miss tea at Kalladka. Except the Shiradi ghat, Mangalore - Bangalore ride was fun and quick. The complete trip was around 1900 plus kms. Got around 30 kmpl mileage. Duke is so far so good. Impressed with the bike performance.

Dirtsack Speedbags and Tank bag are Just perfect for Duke. Capacity of the tank bag is not that great though. But like the way tank bag get attached with the bike. Speedbags, tank bag and tail bag from Dirtsack will fill your need on Duke.

There are so many beauty I have not captured, there are so many moment can not be expressed in words. One need to be on the road to see and feel the beauty and moment. Don't think too much else you will miss all the fun in life. Get on the bike and ride on. Don't bother if something goes out of your calculation.

I wanted to visit few more places but couldn't do this time. I will be on the road soon again. Thank you everyone for following this thread and giving all of your positive comments.

Well....... Mangalore to Bangalore I din't even touch my camera. But there are many pics which I din't count as great pics so din't post. Anyways sharing all those now. Many may like them too.

seldom anything else soothes ones eyes & senses as these plantations do.
i also notice that the road condition is not all that great, atleast from the fotos shared by you - lots of loose gravel & jagged roads spewed here & there... a perfect concoction for the duke i say
again... loved the log & liked the family foto as well... 100% swadesi... i just love such stuff...
