Advice consideredOriginally posted by sasen View PostA sincere request. No matter how paranoid you are on the fuel quality, please never ever carry petrol in the manner you did. Quality of fuel can not justfy the risk of getting burnt and fried with 'good quality' petrol. If you fill up from petrol bunks at major towns I do not think there will be much issue with the fuel quality.
Very good triplog.. Cheers..

@@ I agree with Prafful - RX Dada - why not maybe carry the fuel cans adjacent to the saddle bags, I mean why take chances when there is already metal scrapping the roads which may lead to sparks.
could lead to a fire if not an explosion and the crotch rocket would turn into crotch on fire

23rd Dec. To Junagarh Fort (Bikaner Fort)
So, 23rd morning, woke up after a beautiful sleep. After all, our body was tired of all the rides we did the previous day. A nice bath followed by good food & then warm & cozy bed. Didn't took us time to get lost into our dreamland.
I woke up pretty early, around 7:00 AM. Took the photographs which you say in my previous post. We had our breakfast in the hotel only & prepared to go to Jnagarh Fort.
History of Junagarh Fort
" The fort was originally called Chintamani and was renamed Junagarh or "Old Fort" in the early 20th century when the ruling family moved to Lalgarh Palace outside the fort limits. It is one of the few major forts in Rajasthan which is not built on a hilltop. The modern city of Bikaner has developed around the fort.[1][2][3]
The fort complex was built under the supervision of Karan Chand, the Prime Minister of Raja Rai Singh, the sixth ruler of Bikaner, who ruled from 1571 to 1611 AD. Construction of the walls and associated moat commenced in 1589 and was completed in 1594. It was built outside the original fort of the city, about 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) from the city centre. Some remnants of the old fort are preserved near the Lakshmi Narayan temple.[1][3][4]
Historical records reveal that despite the repeated attacks by enemies to capture the fort, it was not taken, except for a lone one-day occupation by Kamran Mirza. Kamran was the second son of the Mughal Emperor Babur who attacked Bikaner in 1534, which was then ruled by Rao Jait Singh. In the battle, the Mughals were defeated by Rathors. Kamran then returned to Lahore.[5]
The 5.28 hectares large fort precinct is studded with palaces, temples and pavilions.[2] These buildings depict a composite culture, manifest in the mix of architectural styles." Source WikiPedia

Junagarh Fort is quite huge. The moment you enter the fort, you are greeted with HUGE gates of the fort. It would take hell of an effort to operate that door. There is a small parking lot for two wheelers. We parked our bikes & proceeded to the main entrance....
Entry to the fort is charged at Rs 30 per person. The unique part of this fort management is that a group of 30-50 persons is allowed to go inside one at a time & a guide is made available to the whole group. The guide is one of the employees of the management. If you want to hire personal guide, you will have to arrange from the outside of the fort entrance.
We were quite delighted to be there amongst the huge walls of the fort which has witnessed quite an interesting history.
