    Topic Approved.

Well somehow, Facebook is not the place to socialize anymore. Its more like a "Likes and LOLs" site and people just don't "live" anymore there...
They just keep sharing trash from the internet, like useless images, shayaris, etc. They tag a person even if the latter is not in the image, and when someone actually posts something good like a triplog, photos, request to friends, etc, he'd be lucky enough, even to get just 5-6 comments.... Open your FB Page now, and tell me frankly, how many artistic/ valuable posts do you see? All you can see is trash like,
"Like if you XYZ, Comment if you ABC"
"How many likes for this cute girl"
"Facebook is closing and it will charge you money....."
    "Political Bull****"

Just my personal opinion, and no offence intended. Apologies to anyone thinking otherwise.

Coming to the topic, Benaras seems Interesting! Awaiting more pics from you Pranjal...

        DAY 1.

Very soon we crossed Asansol and we were on our way to Dhanbad.
I would like to stand up and salute the mighty Enfield. Boy o boy the way it can munch through the Kms is amazing. Were were constantly riding at 3 digit speeds. I can overtake and accelerate on my bike very fast (thanks to few mods) but when it comes to riding at 120+ speeds for hours its very difficult for me and my bike. Rudra had no such problem he went on and on and on.

After crossing Dhanbad the roads were amazing. It had small hill on either sides of the highway and the road divider was filled with flower plants. I have never seen such beautiful roads.
We stopped somewhere in Bihar to have our lunch. It was a humble road side dhaba. We had some tandoori roties, palak paneer and dal makhani. The food was simply awesome.

After the awesome lunch we went on our way.. We were still a long way to our destination, and I did not want to ride UP highways in the dark. But I guess our fate were decided and we went cruising along UP through the dark.

We reached Varanasi at 7:30 pm. We were waiting outside Benaras Hindu University Campus for our very good friend Sachit who was our link in Benaras. Sachit is a PHD student in BHU he is originally from West Bengal. He had arranged accommodation for us. We parked our bike inside a secured parking area in the Guest house and went to our rooms. After taking a hot bath, we went outside and bought grilled chicken and few bottles of Beer. We deserved it after such a long ride.. Benaras might be known as a predominantly Vegetarian city but trust me guys the variety of Non- Veg food on offer was ashtonishing. We will speak more on it the next day.

            Day 2

we woke up around 8 am. We decided to see the ghats today. Sachit was a little busy with his University work so we decided to leave on our own and meet him in the evening. We started with a breakfast of Littis and started on our way to Assi Ghat.

We walked right through to Dashashwamedh Ghat Click image for larger version

Hi Pranjal,This is a beautiful triplog. I see that your friend was riding an Enfield Classic. Now I have read in many forums that RE Classics are not at all comfortable for long journies. The main culprit is the spring loaded seat which causes severe backpain after some time and the flat handlebar doesn't offer the best ergonomics.Since you guys have done 750+ kms on a single day your friend can give a good feedback on the comfort factor and overall riding experience on the RE. Awaiting feedback. Thanks

                Hi mate,

Trust me there were no such issues i was the one who was having a backache. RE 500 was amazing in terms of comfort. But yes he did complain that his arms were paining a bit specially the forearms.
