Hi, I am planing to travel from Kolkata to Manipur and then back. What is the best route option and is the idea too vague? Thanks in advance.

Mammoth log! Perhaps the longest single post I have ever read on a forum.

I have to ask a question that stays in the mind after reading through. Do you have some sort of distrust or dislike for South Indians? I'm a South Indian and can't help wondering, especially after reading and re-reading the excerpt below. No offence and the last thing I want is to set off a regional debate; I'm looking for nothing but a straightforward answer.

When I saw his profile pix first I thought he is a south Indian boy who is working for Indian Oil Corporation. So I called him and informed that we can meet in next saturday at Digboi in his Cyber Cafe "Busybees".

I called Purbi'da & he called me to his Cyber Cafe. So we went to the IOC market. We were waiting for Purbi'da as we dont know him.

But it was not Purbi'da but a young kid. Purbi'da came on a Red Old CBZ with alloy wheels, offroad tyres & stopped before his Cyber Cafe. We clearly understood it was Captain. He called my name & invited my friends to his cafe.

He was fair & healthy. He look really handsome & I became confident he was not a south Indian. When we Introduced ourselves I came to know his name Chao Kumar Purbi Bialung Baruah.

If you are going to Imphal, Manipur the best route is the route we had choosen. Kolkata - Guwahati - Kaziranga - Kohima - Imphal. You will see some awesome views and beautiful people :-)

As I told in the earlier replies the original travelogue was longer than the this. Regarding to your question in a straightforward answer is that I never said I dislike South Indians. I was simply imagining about Kumar Purbi as his profile pic looks like a South Indian Hero.
