On the 13th of January at around 11.00 am we left for Zainabad. While riding we saw these really awesome bullet bike rickshaws in the front it was a bullet up till the engine and then from the back it was like a big cart where in 5-7 people could easily sit in and we also saw camels on the way a really beautiful place and we kept riding through some villages, the climate highway traffic and temperature were perfect to ride even during the afternoon time which made this a fresh and an easy go through ride.
As we reached a specific junction Vedant called his friend who had organized a place in zainabad for us he came to meet us. His name was Kaushik a really nice person he guided us to his small house in the middle of some farm and the roads in the farm were very bad really soft and slippery mud big pot holes a very narrow road meant only for cycle tires, so any how we were traveling on that road and then there came a big heap of mud which we had to cross through and after that heap there was very soft mud where Milton slipped and fell just with some minor scratches he picked up his bike and then we reached the house of kaushik in the middle of the farms. It was a complete village kinda of an house where in the house was made up of bricks and cement and in that house there were 5 beds (khatyas) and just a bulb there was no proper toilets, just behind the house there were 4 bamboos wrapped with big plastic bags and in between that Indian toilet and we had to get water from a huge barrel of water every time we went in.
In the evening we set our tracks to little Raan of Kutch where on the way there was a T type of a road where we had to take right and we all stopped there on the right waiting for Sheldon and then suddenly out of no where Sheldon comes speeding tries to make the turn but goes inside brushing the bushes and comes out looking at that we all had a big laugh about it and then continued our ride to the Little Raan of Kutch. We reached there by around 6.00pm and had an amazing time out there just barren land and not even little grass or bushes out there we must have clicked like atleast 200 to 300 pics out there just an amazing place.
Later in the night we went back to our house just washed our hands and legs freshened up and sat in our rooms talking to each other. Later that night Kaushik invited us to have dinner with the farmers in the dinning area. We had with them Chapati made from Bajra and black gram which was very heavy healthy and filling and then for dessert we had really nice white color Jaggery and we drank buttermilk after that which was really tasty. We had an amazing time with them.
Next morning i.e 14th January 2013 we got up washed our bikes and set our ways to Mount Abu. The climate was nice and chilly and also really pleasant. The road towards mount abu were so smooth and had awesome stretches of straight roads where we were revving up our bikes to the max speeds, on the way we just took a small diversion for a lunch break and also to see the the sun temple at Modhera. We went in clicked many photos and then just traveled a bit ahead for lunch.
Next we went to the Jain temple named as Dilwara temple which was completely made up of marble and with great art and really amazing infrastructure. In that temple Milton got a really nice opportunity to do Aarti (prayers) with a Pandit out there.
From there we went to a rabbit farm where there were huge rabbits and from their fur they used to make winter wear which was really very nice and soft.
The next day 16th January we went to Gurushikar one of the highest points in Mount Abu a very beautiful scenic view from there and on the way on top there were very beautiful painting shops out there were you could buy them for max to max at Rs.120 a painting.
We left from there and then we went to the next place i.e the Achalgarh fort. The way to Achalgarh fort is a steep slope upwards, We could take our bikes till the main entrance of the temple. After that was a 200 steps walk upwards. Aakash was really tired of walking so he and milton decided to stay back, while Sheldon, James Vedant and Karan decided to go pay a visit to the temple. We walked up and reached the entrance that led to the temple. We seen sculptures of tigers on the mountain rocks as we started going towards the temple. Cameras and cell phones were not allowed inside the temple, so we could not take any photographs. Another amazing temple made of marble with sculptures made from marbles. The view from up there was also really great. Wish we could take some photos
