Me and my friends had planned to be there in Goa for the new years eve.
We were supposed to go by my friend's vehicle..He owns Toyota qualis. Everything was planned and we had decided to leave on sunday the 28th 2008.
But accomodation over there was a problem as this is peek season and all the hotels were full.
Goa is my native place and i have a quite a lot relatives over there but taking so many friends at someone's place was not happening. So staying at my relatives place was out of option.
Still we had managed some accomodation and plan was ready.
But............ had a huge fight over some issue just the night before our trip. I pulled myself out of the trip.
Just had lost interest.
But then who'll stay back home when he has dreamed about such fun and that too in Goa? Atleast i can't...
So next day got up and called my bro down there in Goa. Asked him if he has planned anything for the new year celebration in advance, cause i didnt want to make him change his plans if he had any..
He said no plans as yet and he and his friends will plan something at the last moment. I said that's wonderfull. Told him that add one more member to ur new year celebration and that's me..
So here's my new plan now..
I'll b riding straight down to Goa - Alone.. single handed.
It'll b fun as i've already ridden to Goa 3 times before - each time on different bikes. 1st - Honda Activa...2nd - Bajaj Pulsar 200.. and now it's going to b Yamaha YZF R15.
In between i've been to Goa by 4 wheelers quite some times. So the road is like fixed in my mind. It's gonna b fun ripping the bike on that heavenly Goa highway. Only bad luck is i dont have my digi cam with me this time. Another of my bro wants it for the new year party here in Mumbai.
Who cares.. I have my N95.. and that's enough for me.. It's not the cam..it's the eyes behind the view finder matters. Will try to make the most out of it.
My bike had returned quite good figures of millege in my previous road trips. Hoping for the same this time as well. My second service is due in the first week of Jan. So it's a trip planned on right time as if any prob arrises by the time i return i can get it fixed in the servicing immediately, though i m sure my steed wont give any of those..
I would have loved some one's company this time but again the prob of accomodation arrises and i dont know how much can one be comfortable at a stranger's house.
Anyways, will post the trip log along with the limited pics that i'll take with my Cell phone cam after the journey.
And wish u all the xbhpians a Very very very Happy and prosporous new Year... as i wont b able to login till the 2nd of Jan...
