Thanks guys and believe me a great ride it was! I can certainly recommend this trip, though if you skipped Velneshwar you wouldn't be worse off. Instead do not miss the Kelshi & Velas beaches.

Akshay - Just a suggestion, would be glad if you consider. Post the pics in websites like Photobucket or Google (they're quite safe & you can make it available only for private viewing) & just post the links here within [IMG][/IMG] tag.

The overall road condition (Pune - Velneshwar - Dapoli - Pune) was good. I would say 75% good 25% bad. If you are doing Velneshwar to Dapoli run and avoid the mistake which we made by skipping the coast road via the beaches of Kelshi & Velas to Bankot, then your good roads would be 90% good. If you skip Velneshwar altogether, then it only leaves around 5 Km of the Tamhini ghat which is in bad condition. Hope this helps!Originally posted by mansuryayas View Post

Thanks Nagesh. This was the first time I have ridden via the coast and it was an unforgettable experience which I would love to repeat in the future.
