@Mik: Awesome stuff there! Will like hear some detail thru a triplog though!

IIRC, on old xBhp din't your tagline have 'The Nomad'? You're living up to that name.

PS: How were managing the 220 in sand? The backside just loves to dig itself a grave when on sand!

Yup: I was the nomad. . Not anymore, just got married
Still convincing my wife to buy a protective jacket and also trying to convince her why a bike is safer than a car

@Real wheel: Well, a hole it did dig. Took a super human effort to dig it out. Also, did some "sand outs"

          Trip Log :-(
It takes a long time to write one.

          Here goes a short description

          Day 1:
Left Noida at 12 o clock in the afternoon, after getting my bike serviced.
Reached Jaipur by 4:30 (Only two small 10 mins breaks and some breakneck speeding )
Since the sun was going down, and the Zma headlight was a suspect, we decided to ride on till Ajmer to avoid night riding. The road to Ajmer was awesome. Also, the sun went down on the road and it was an amazing feeling, riding towards the setting sun .
The night at Ajmer was nothing special, just checked out some local delicacies at kutchery road.

          Day 2: 26th December.
Next day we checked out early at about 5 in the morning. It was freezing like hell and we actually rode through a jungle, which made matters worse. Even after the sun was up, at about 9:30 we were still freezing and my KTM gloves were damp. A breakfast at a village later (Yaa yaa with the villagers gawking at our alien dresses) we finally reached pokhran at about 2 in the afternoon. A plate of rajasthani thali later, we pushed off towards Jaisalmer.
The problem with rajasthan roads is that they are arrow straight and with hardly any traffic. I am more of a hill driving person and it became a bit boring.
Just 30 km from Jaisalmer we saw lush green fields and were frustrated. Heck!! we had come to see the dunes and not greenery
A quick stop at jaisalmer and then we dashed off to Sam for the dunes.
From the bike and straight onto the camel we went Watched an excellent sunset over the Thar. While coming back on the camel, i realized that i had left the keys in the ignition only
Luckily, no one was interested in it.
Driving back from Sam was an experience. A starry night and just a few headlights on the road. Nothing else, just darkness.
Had dinner and off to bed.

          Day 3:
Went to the Jaisalmer fort and roamed around for two hours. Its an amazing place and specially, the view of the whole of Jaisalmer. Most of the houses of Jaisalmer are painted golden yellow.
After some bread pakoras we moved towards bikaner. Again, lunch just outside pokhran. Here, we saw the free riders filling up. It was an amazing experience seeing the Victory Vision and the crowd round it. Intruders, hayabusas and a few other bikes were there and suddenly my 220 seemed like a moped
The road to bikaner was as boring as they come. 5km straights and then a gentle bend. Lost concentration after doing constant 85kmph. A truck was coming towards me and my mind thought it was actually going in the other direction
So we decided to speed up and did 120+ speeds just to keep the boredom away
Reached Bikaner in the evening and roamed around the fort. At night we tried in vain to find BikanerVala bhujia :P

          Day 4:
          Bikaner -Hisar-Rohtak- Noida:
Left at round about 8 in the morning. Got pics clicked with a camel wala who wanted the pic to be mailed to his ID
We hit the first bad roads in Rajasthan here but the best part was that there were dunes on either side at some stretches
Hisar to Noida was a traffic nightmare. Less said the better.

          Total:
          1820 km.

          Problems:
Zma had a few starting issues.
220 chain was making noises after being oiled within 400 km.
