    [Photo Feature]: Ladakh Solo Ride From Kolkata

    Hello Everybody,

    I am Shri Saroj Majumder, a school teacher of physics, love to travel. When I get time and opportunity, I go out for a solo trip with my bike bajaj avenger street 220. This time I left for Ladakh, alone with my bike. I left home in Kolkata on 5th September 2022, Monday and visited Ladakh and returned home on 21st September 2022, Wednesday (17 days & 6,380 Km Ride). I wrote a travelogue about my solo Ladakh tour. I ride to Umling La on 15th September-2022 during my Solo Ladakh Ride.

          Solo Ladakh Ride by Bike Travelogue :


          5th September-2022, Monday, Day-1 (Kolkata, West Bengal to Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh) :

          If you want to travel by motorcycle, you have to make all the preparations in advance, such as getting the bike serviced, luggage, helmet and action camera ready, etc. A good sleep is not supposed to come from excitement at night and it is happened. I woke up at 2:15 am in the night, took a bath, prepared myself and my bike, and left my house in Belgharia alone at 3:22 am in the morning for Ladakh. After crossing Burdwan through Bali Bridge, Dankuni, Gurap, Shaktigarh, day light comes. Along with the National Highway-19, I came to Maithon via Durgapur, Raniganj, Asansol and after crossing the Barakar river, I crossed the border of West Bengal and entered the state of Jharkhand. After arriving in Jharkhand, I had breakfast at 8:30 am in the morning with two rotis with sour curd and a cup of black tea. There are many sword and stick shops on both sides of National Highway-19 in Jharkhand. Crossing the Falgu river bridge via Topchanchi, Jamtara, Borhi, Chauparan, I left Jharkhand and entered the state of Bihar. On both sides of National Highway-19, I saw a lot of kash flowers blooming all over the road. Going through Aurangabad, Sone River, Dehri, Sasaram, Shivsagar and after crossing the bridge over the Karmansar River, I left Bihar and came to Uttar Pradesh. In the afternoon I took lunch in Uttar Pradesh with Veg-Fried Rice and Sour Yoghurt. I crossed the bridge over the river Ganges at Varanasi and proceeded along the National Highway-19. Finally, after riding a distance of 730 km, leaving behind the city of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, I reached Gopiganj at 5:30 pm, where I will spend the night today.

                      Why is everyone obsessed with Ladakh. Everyone visit Ladakh and show it as if they've done some serious adventure. There are so many other offbeat places with REAL ADVENTURE. Ladakh is no adventure anymore, except for Zanskar (but that's going to change too soon). Try visiting Sethan Hamta for example with adventure trails and no rider visiting.
                      I look best when I take my helmet off, I have a glow on my face and a bit of helmet hair ;)
