This is how it starts -
I'd planned a trip to Goa with my friends who were all super excited by the word GOA and two days before we start all dropped out ...
I was ready to do a solo but my girl said U R NOT RIDING ALONE FOR 600 KMS. I was pissed off badly.
The whole night couldn't sleep , at 1130 i thought lets make a short trip (Ooty was short comparing it with Goa) and i opened Gmaps on my phone and had a glance on the route.


Things i packed for my first ride -
1. Glucose
2. Water
3. Banana - i get quite hungry often
4. Snickers
5. All the routing things - Tooth brush , blah blah ..
6. A box that contains some tablets like - Crocin , Dolo and band aid and moov.


It was 0100 by then. I set the alarm and goto bed. Damn im not getting sleep. I'm super excited ... Actually i didn't sleep.
I left at 0530 .. I'm pretty weak on directions in bangalore , somehow managed to join the Nice Road by using the voice navigation on my ray.
Ahhhh ...... first time nice road





Had my breakfast in McDonalds in Maddhur, I'm still super excited about the miles ahead.
Bandipur was a super-thrilling experience for me since i was alone , alone all the way on road.
Man then comes Mudhumalai - Damn hot .. Then comes the beauty - The Ooty


I wish i had a house there -

I stopped every Kilometer for the clicks








Caught on the Garden -





The road that we take and that we don't





End of a wonderful day - will be a super lasting memory for me





This trip has thought me a lot -


1. I can wake up in terrific early morning.
2. Never trust a cellphone's GPS.
3. Always book room in prior - Ooty had more hotels than resi's but since it was the peak in season was quiet difficult to hunt one.
4. Always tie the back-pack to the seat.

btw.. Can you tell about the 4th point you have written about the bag-pack to be tied to the seat.. ?
i haven't been to long rides.. So don't know about this.. Why not just wear it on the back..

Indeed ooty is. She deserves to be visited atleast twice a year

Hey , its the bag that we carry . Either u carry a saddle/tank bag or use a bungee chord to tie it to the pillion seat. Shoulders pain after a while making you uncomfortable throughout the ride
if u carry it on your back.
