Astounding Ambarnath
Its a Sunday ... And its pouring outside...hills, buildings have disappeared into the gray...a delayed start to a ride... We tread towards Ambarnath.. Off the vashi road ..Turning towards Helen Keller.. onto Shil Phata...and towards Ambarnath on the SH ..some mucky roads welcome us into Ambarnath...the temple is located on the outskirts of the town..and is decently preserved...some restoration work by ASI (Archaeological Survey of India) goes on...the main Gabhara Griha Tower is missing but its strikingly similar to Gondeshwar...the nandi is also going under a restoration / diet - plan as its gotten thinner to give the devotees some space to enter...time to head back to Bombay.
