Wonderful Vaitarna & Terrific Trimbakeshwar
Its the weekend and we have to plan something. I know that I am already working on a personal project to cover the ancient Hemadpanthi Temples in Maharashtra. So myself and Prasad Gawde decided to go to Trimbakeshwar. On the way to Trimbakeshwar temple, we enjoyed the ride on Igatpuri roads, since it was all cloudy and pleasant. Once crossing Igatpuri and Ghoti, we took a enroute towards Trimbak. Few miles past and we are surprised to see the Vaitarna Dam that still holds lot of water and this is one of the largest dams that supplies water to Mumbai. We stayed for sometime in Vaitarna, enjoying the breeze, watching the birds and their songs and fishermen. It was one place to visit in weekend with the tent and camp at the night to enjoy the nature. Since there was a marriage to attend, we could not spend much time in Vaitarna. So we headed towards Trimbakeshwar, which is one of the Jyotirlings and also a Hemadpanthi Architecture. Once we reached the temple, we got totally disappointed, since the Camera is not allowed inside the temple. I remember when I was a kid, we used to go with the camera inside. But now the temple trust had put some rules to ban the camera, bags, etc. he photographs that you are going to watch in this album are very old, which was taken before these rules been made. The credits of the photograph goes to the photographer. However I did apply some effects on it, since the original photograph was not that good. The only photo that we captured in Trimbakeshwar is from outside the temple. Since we got disappointed, we immediately headed towards Hemant's wedding. On the way we met Shrikant Patil who just got his RX135 from Pune and he joined us for the marriage. We reached Marriage hall and we met Suraj who was already there before us. And ofcourse, he came in his motorcycle too. Then we attended the weeding and greeted Hemant and we had food and headed towards Mumbai. I would say that we made a wrong decision to leave, since the Sun was in its peak and we got grilled like chickens. We took about 4 stops in between because of the sun and had some refreshment. Also we had a chance to watch the Bullock Cart Race. Then we had our final stop near Kalyan and then we headed back to home and rested.

Re: Wonderful Vaitarna & Terrific Trimbakeshwar
@sjegan : nice pics there...
the cbr250r in BLACK looks totally eye-ball grabber maal!
and the panorama's have turned out to be good too!
may i suggest that u pen down a few line on ur experience, the ride, the WTF moments if any, the best & worst parts of the trip, etc. - ideally the narration followed by a foto, is the most engaging & intuitive way of sharing the log - all these are educative & interesting to us mortal readers!
ride safe, my friend!
@The Monk : LOL! no man... the locations are different albeit the characters & the machine are the same... Ambernath is on the outskirts of mumbai whereas Tribakeshwar is some 28kms off Nashik
guess u may safely unlock the other thread by the same author
