Scooter performed very well and beyond my expectations.It crossed all the high passes easily.

No Punctures throughout entire trip,thanks to brand new MRF Zapper tyres.

Meeting fellow friend Jagjit Singh at his Aru Eco resort was another sweet experience.Very impressed by his Aru Eco resort which is situated
at a very enchanting location near Pahalgaam.He hosted us at his resort with a great hospitality.

Amit's friend Azad from Sringar also hosted us a dinner in one of the hotels at Boulverd road,Dal Lake.Thanks buddy
for that awesome experience.

Attempted Umba La Pass and almost touched it before we were stopped by a huge snow deposit on the road.Umba la
attempt was a also a different experience as I was able to see entire Tololing range in a single view.

Road between Drass qand Kargil was butter smooth and I could manage some high speed stints on this section.Hails BRO.

Had to spend 3 days in Leh for arranging permits for Demchock but failed.

Visit by friends Vikas,Swati Suman Mishra was memorable.

Sumit also displayed a huge degree of courage and accompany us after he got Chushul/Hanle
added to his permit.


Ascend to Khardung La top in a snowfall and on a broken roads were hellish experience.

My attempt to see Agham-Shyok section aborted due to a landslide and swelling Shyok river.Disappointed,I was.

Coffee During a relax break at Shyok landslide site was a pleasant experience.

Meeting Puneet Khatkar and his biker friends was another sweet thing.Puneet,Hemant,Vijay,Chander,Hariom,Rameshji are now
regular friends.They hosted me in their tents on at Pangong lake.

Crossing Maan,Merak,Chushul,Tsaga,Loma on a scooter was a high point.The section between Merak and Chushul was sandy
and I enjoyed the tranquility/adrenaline rush this area offered.

Red flagged by cop posted at Chushul was a frustrating moment.

Sight of Ribbos in vastland of Chushul was a thing to remember.

Chushul is a fairly large village.

Visiting Rezang La memorial was a satisfying thing for me.Long live the martyrs of 1962 war.

Cop at Loma check post didnt allow camera to carry further.But chief was generous and let us pass with our cameras.

Hanle,a bitter cold high village with a high probability of AMS hitting you.

Ride between Loma and Hanle(50kms approx) in a pitch dark night was an eerie experience.Barking dogs at the distant
were also creating fear in the heart.

Almost reached Photi La top before stopped by a heavy snowfall.Another bitter and frustrating experience.

Burning sensation due to cold in the fingers/toes made life worse.

We gate crashed in Nyoma Govt Guest house.

I could not ride my scooter in Morey Plane during my previous scooter ride,but realized this dream this year.

Stranded at Baralacha La, danger was lurking at each corner there.

September may be the best time for visiting Ladakh,I guess.

After almost 10 days of bad food in Ladakh,finally managed to lay my hands on a Mutton-Chawal plate at Zingzing Bar.

Received by entire family at 4 AM made my heart melt.They were very anxious by the news of Uttarakhand disaster.

A new scooter ride is planned in coming September 2104 to see the unseen area of Ladakh and satiate my thirst for
photographing Ladakhi people and landscapes.
