"Kalrayan hills"....brings back my chilhood memories in my native villages. Have you covered the Vellimalai, Karumandurai range?? Waiting for Log!

Saket, the new 'rider' with brand new passion Xpro,but not enough confident to ride, so I didn't want to push him but I wanted the car mobile charger from him , but its Saket who was not ready to give that to me.
As the planning done at night so no shops were even open to get a new one ..
Somehow I managed to get that charger because I knew that without GPS we (me & sujoy) can't make the trip and to use GPS I need the charger ..


Route selected on google maps , no traveler ever traveled this route so no information available from Internet ..

After taking dinner we slept early so that we can wake up and start our ride but mid night Saket came to my room and said "I also want to join you but 1 request please ride slow".. Ok ..


Somehow could not slept more , got ready again to hit the road ..



thats how my luggage prepared , new experiment of using speakers while riding ..

till vaniumbadi smooth NH and then tirupattur in SH, its our well known route but from there the ultimate trip starts ..

nice road to unknown , but scorching sun was killing us ..



Entering into Kalranayan Hill range



entered into the jungle , offroad started showing its character ..


After all we were late as in every 10-20 mins Saket finds something problem in his bike but after wasting a nice 5-10mins again he started his jouney .. In this we lost lots of time but ok, as he was new I can understand whats happening in his mind ..

from here, gps was a showing a route but we could not find any ..


Suddenly we was one HH splendor was coming out from the jungle ,asked him about the road but he said another 12 kms there will be no road , with pillion its not possible , some how I started riding in thats offroad trail , with pillion I was not having much problem I do practice for offroad regularly and platina 125's huge low end torque was a smooth peace for me ..
But worn out chain sprocket, and slipping clutch plates were a cause of headache for me ..

But even this place seems so strange!




yes its strange , being a beautiful place but nobody has explored this place , I don't know why...


After crossing these offroad season we found the tar road to karmadurai , happily cruised on that and reached a small market ..
We all were dehydrated and tired but enthusiasm is that which kept us alive that moment ..
We took idly , omelet & cold drinks and were ready to hit the road again ..


From there the 1st destination was a water fall but I forgot the name ,will let you know later in this t.log only..

After that we reached the foot hill in 1/2 hour only , but after that the horror story started ..

travelogue continues .....................


As after the stop we continued our journey by following our GPS , which was giving us a bad time by taking through very very bad kachha sadak and my bike's rear suspension was giving me the sound clik-cliiik -knochor -knochor ... Though I was not afraid as she never let me get any prob on road in any of my trips.


We continued like this , GPS's "kms to go" was not reducing much because of very bad village roads ..


Then in between no where after a huge bumper (speed breaker) we heard a KHATAK , a bang sound , I thought chain gave up of chain cover touched the ground .. But no , neither of them , after searching atleast 3-4 mins with LED torch I found right-rear suspension gave up ..


So I send my pillion to saket's bike and continued the journey, still long way to go ..
After reaching nearest town we filled petrol and took rest and started towards vellore.
Though I requested Saket & sujoy to continue to vellore at their own speed and I will continue at 40-50kmph to save the other suspension from bad patches of SH , but they decided to continue with me ..


All the 150-180 kms I was riding sitting on petrol tank and for the 1st time I found my as* burning :P


As we were following each-other without much prob, but at 9pm saket felt hungry and took his dinner , sujoy continued his day his favourite cadburies , and me skipped dinner as I was too sad about my bike ..


Again we started , but again Saket felt sleepy and started riding while sleeping . we understood it and requested him to sleep in a road side auto (yea the auto was just standing road side , no body was there nearby)..


After 30mins of solid sleep saket again started riding and yep I was following , all of a sudden saket started accelerating and I had to follow him , but he vanished simply ..
But I saw a big gadda on road could not slowdown properly , bike got a nice jerk and all the gloves , right airfilter side firing cover(door) , water bottle fell on the road from tool box (dikki),as I removed the right side cover because it was touching the broken suspension , after removing it I put it into the dikki but could not close it


In the dark SH i collected all the materials with my bike's LED DRL lights and started again towards vellore .
After some 20mins I got a call from Sujoy that they missed the road and requested me to stop wherever I am ..
Ok I stopped and after waiting another 15 mins they found me ..


Then I came to know the reason of sudden accelerating , Because Saket again started sleeping and ripped unconsciously : :
That mean the other 2 people's life were in danger


Uff again we started , but all the way Saket was just sitting on rider seat and Sujoy was controlling his bike from pillion seat :P By this type of riding I found our speed became too low , but some how we reached vellore , and then in hostel ..


This was really a horror story for me , not only for me even for Sujoy , as his life was in danger :P
