was actually doing quite well... good with balance, gearshifting, braking, bending and turning, etc.etc.. drove down to city on GT Road a bit too with no probs.. and then for no apparent reason i turned onto a really bad road in a construction area on campus... dont recall exactly how it happened, but involved skidding off lotsa tiny pebbles and sand, a huge pothole, bike falling down and me flying off and landing on my left arm which unfortunately broke... heres the xray :-) http://home.iitk.ac.in/student/udai/xrayboth.jpg
ironically ,it wasnt that bad a skid/fall coz neither me nor bike was really scratched (just some on legguard, speedo housing, and a bent left legrest).. but i fell badly.. :-( called galeazi fracture... common one among skateboarders esp...need a metal plate to be put next week..lucky that right hand's ok.. oh well
what really is bad is that i cant bike for a while now...
so what to do with bike..?. its abt 270km... in a hostel environ its quite difficult to avoid letting noone use the bike.. there are two froends who i fully trust will follow the 60kmph, 4000rpm thing atleast 98% of the time , and are good riders...so one thing is that i let these guys keep using the bike till i get better, so that it gets run in atleast.. and all the time isnt wasted...
but people say that its best to let noone else use it coz even the gears should be bedded down acc to u... in this situatiom, should this be fact be imp enough so that i dont allow
neone to use? or do i compromise on this aspect... coz as it is, i'm new and dont really have a well defined shifting style, and there will be times where having abike will be very useful otherwise for actual work over the next few weeks/months (classes, hospital, etc, etc)
what do u say??
thanks
udai

ive lost power in the wrist. I used to drive around and still do. The way ive lost power is i cant do pull ups nor push ups in the gym which i used to do @ first.
