Love the pictures, love the route! I been to this exact routemap and i thoroughly understand how awesome you would have felt being on these roads. Ceebers look simply stunning out there beside the water bodies (le me jealous)

Re: Two CBRs to two reservoirs - Newbie meets Veteran rider

Did you guys feel any difference in the power/power delivery of the new CBR? The website says that it's 26 bhp, and I think the previous CBRs' were 25 bhp. If yes, then there might be some difference. Did you guys feel anything different?

Thanks

Well.. How can i say this not sounding harsh..
Technical data/queries in ownership thread.. and i think you posted the same there also.. And 1extra bhp wont produce any noticable difference, apart from test charts n all..
so enjoy the thread

Ride safe and have fun.

Thanks nadz11.ns

Yes, I posted this query in the ownership thread earlier today, unfortunately, haven't received any response yet. But then I saw this thread consisting of 2 CBRs, one of which is a newer one while the other is the old one. So I believe this could be the best place to ask the same since these 2 guys might have ridden the 2 CBRs back to back during their tour. It's not a typical technical query, I just wish to know if they felt any difference in the power of the new CBR, that's it.

Thanks anyways

Sorry for the late reply, and sorry to disappoint you, but the new CBR was still in it's run-in period. So kn8Alpha wasn't going WOT. Will give you a more comprehensive update the next time we ride together. But from initial observations, with medium acceleration, my bike seemed to pull away faster than the newer one. Now, this is contradictory to what the specs lead you to believe, but this could be due to a multitude of reasons.
1. I have removed the air filter cover on my bike, which gives it a deeper growl, and this could contribute to a better air intake. Just a theory.
2. Ever since I have redlined the bike in every gear (including the 1st) at the race track, it feels like a completely different machine. The engine is much more happy and free to rev and responsive.
But, we will try to do a full comprehensive test on the next ride and post results the difference in performance, if any.
