Traffic in Mysore ??? What's that, I have never heard of such a thing here in Mysore , thanks for starting my day by cracking a good joke . . . Only time little traffic will be here is in Dasara time. . .

@Suresh Upadya Nice pics and I do agree with Rakesh, traffic in Mysore is kind of non-existent thing but I also noticed you said "mad Mysore road traffic" which can be interpreted as traffic on the road which starts from Bangalore and which goes to Mysore

BTW: Did you try the ultra deliciously delicious "Mylari dosa" there in Mysore. Just the thought of it is enough to make me hungry

Yes it was bad traffic on Mysore raod as it passes through all the towns starting from Ramnagar, Chennapatna, Maddur, Mandya, Srirangapattana. Mandya is the worst of all. While coming bak traffic was exactly like Bangalore almost stand still for 5-10 mins with 1-2 kms of lengthy traffic.Who ever told there is no traffic in Mysore sorry I totally disagree(I am not new to Mysore).I agree its not as bad as Bangalore but yes I can see it getting there with real estate burst. I passed through the Ring road and I could see miles and miles of vacant sites on both sides what it means is Mysore is not far away from getting into chaotic traffic .Anyways lets hope it doesn't become bad like Bangalore. I still love Mysore as it still retains the heritage city tag.The center of city is not much changed.I really missed the lightings as I had to be home before 8pm.

Places I cud visit in my short trip:
1) Lalitha Mahal(Now a star hotel)
2)Chamundi hills(Could not get inside temple...long ques)
3)The Big bull on Chamundi
4)Palace(Again just walked around didnt enter inside)
5) Flower show just outside palace
6) Jagan Mohana Palace(Full of ancient patings, Raja RaviVarma paintaings were just out of the world) maintenance of this place could have been better.

I will let my pictures do the talking.
Overall a gud trip.But yes it is incomplete with so many places around. Thats for more and more rides for the luring.

Total milage : 340 kms
Fuel cost : Rs 600/-

Cool places, guess you visited almost all the places here, except few. . . BTW for the Chamundi temple, there was a special entrance as well, if you really wanted to go, you could had gone by that. . . Too bad you missed the lightnings bro , next time why don't you plan it out, I guess you could had been here till 7 or 8, . . The last time I had been to Bangalore, I left to Mysore at 8:00, awesome riding at night with my bike's stupid headlight . . . Nice pics BTW, next time try going to places around Mysore, like Somnathpura, Talkad, Shivanasamudra, etc., worth seeing and you'll have loads of fun. . .

PS: Let's see in the future but at present, Mysore is free to roam , enjoying everyday here. . .

As I told I want something to be left for the next rides. I badly missed the lights.My dream picture is Palce with lights from top of Chamundi. Hope to fulfill my dream one day........
I have been to all the places you mentioned 1/2 times earlier. Being a Bangalorean cant stay @ home in the weekend I keep roaming around taking my bike/car/cycle(one of them...)

Cool, next time you come along here and need any extra help, message me I will be present as well and will take you other places too. . . BTW indeed that's the best part of Mysore, standing in the hill top and watching our entire city lightened up weeeeeee best feeling. . .
