The winters were approaching and it was time again. Time to get ready, get on the riding gear, pack up tools and spares and hit the road. Of course, it was not a 4 wheels, neither would the trip be on Enfield Bullets or Harleys or even the average 150 cc odd commuter bikes. This was a dedicated ride, filled with loud roars and 2T fueled smoke, of classic and vintage bikes, the production of which had since been stopped in India back in 1996.
It was the time for the Jawas and Yezdis from the long gone Ideal Jawa factory at Mysore to take the roads by storm! Yes, Southern Raid 5 was here again, the annual meet for these powerful bikes that once ruled the roads in many cities and I, definitely was not going to miss it this time.
The dates were fixed for the 25th, 26th & 27ththth
