      You are welcome,
      Lone Wanderer.

thank you very much for clearing up my mind and providing me with a viable option,,
Please note that the China-made OE stock base-plate and side-clamps are very thin, made of aluminium and prone for breakages. My RHS base-plate broke, while riding near Karad, MH on NH 4. I got it welded at Chennai later costing ₹ 40. I am thinking of getting a pair of sturdier steel clamps custom-made, so that I will not have any surprises in my next long ride.

if you ever come to j&K for your upcoming future ladakh rides feel absolutely free to contact me it will be absolute pleasure for me,,,

I am planning my next Ladakh trip in the coming September, but not yet decided whether to drive or ride; I will inform you well in advance. Thanks for the invite.

                  Hello Ravi sir, greetings.

I have read this travelogue in one sitting and I want to congratulate you for living your dream. My eyes were spreading in disbelief and I couldn't believe what you are able to do(Like getting back from KKI same day and the golden quad ride). I am half your age and want to do all of this I am feeling a little envious too :P

Please continue to ride with more energy and enthusiasm and keep inspiring us

During the last 3 years, Blue Bird flew to 15 states and UT, viz., TN, PY, KA, KL, AP, OD, WB, JH, BR, UP, DL, HR, RJ, GJ and MH. I am hopeful of her adding a few more states/UT to her list in the years to come. It's time for nostalgia.

Day-before-yesterday, my Thunderbird 500 reached its official nest amidst torrential rains after completing the ride across India of 6,524 km in 123 hours over 13 days without any problems like puncture/breakdown/accident/falling down/harassment from cops/RTO, etc. This time, I didn't do any servicing other than one oil top-up and three chain lubrication during the ride.

Due to tensions at Attibele border due to Cauvery waters issue, I took a different route for the first time: Kolar>Bethamangala>Venkatagirikota>Guidyatham>Pall ikonda, which was supposed to the shortest route from Bangalore to Chennai, but time-consuming as the roads go through the towns and villages in KA, AP and TN. Works were in progress on many stretches from Kolar to Bethamangala. Then onwards, the roads were bad. From Venkatagirikota, the roads were good, but narrow. The TN roads were very good. I enjoyed riding the ghat sections in TN.

After entering TN, a police squad was checking all the vehicles entering TN. I too was stopped and asked to produce the documents. I came to the shoulder, parked the bird, removed my gloves and helmet and took out the document folder from the tank bag. At this time, the constable asked me, where from and where to, and I replied. Immediately, he informed his superiors that I had all the documents without seeing them and asked me to proceed!

Torrential rains lashed out at Kolar and from Sunguvarchattiram to Chennai, which delayed my ride time, aided and abetted by the notorious Bangalore's traffic jams, especially near the cable-stayed bridge at KR Puram. I had my dinner at A2B, Arcot bypass before getting caught in the rains, which continued until I reached home after eight-and-half hours.

Will I take this route again? No way. This experiment was solely attributable to the avoidable tension at Attibele due to Cauvery waters issue. Mine was the only TN-registered vehicle until I crossed KA. The ubiquitous TN trucks were totally absent. Only after entering Venkatagirikota in AP, TN vehicles started giving me company. I saw many TN trucks coming from the opposite direction.

                            More to come.
