I had recently been to Spiti and Kinnaur valley in Himachal Pradesh all the way riding from Pune. Yes, the idea was to celebrate Diwali vacation in the lap of Himalayan range. This is my first travelogue in life which I am writing. Some statistics about my ride.
1. Total distance rode in kms - 4038 (approx.)
2. The route - Pune>Surat>Udaipur>Bhilwara>Jaipur>Delhi>Shimla>Na rkanda>Sangla>Chitkul>Nako>Kaza>Manali>Kalka>Mumba i>Pune.
I had put my bike in the luggage van of train from Kalka to Bandra terminus.
3. Temperature - Scortching heat of Gujarat to subzero temperature in Spiti
4. Duration - 12 days [10 days of effective riding], 26th Oct'13 to 6th Nov'13
5. Difficulties - too low temperature in the Kinnaur and Spiti valley.
6. Breakdown - No breakdown only once bike has come down/fallen due to%2
