    Hi,

Myself on a GT-250 & my Bro with Our Cousin on his ZMA did about 1300 Kms round trip, Left on Friday 23rd night, around 7:00 PM, on west of cord road realized that my Xenon has Issues, both of them, found a local garage guy & fixed it near Mysore road junction, the Issue was in a connector where the wire feeding in was almost burnt handling high currents for long, fixed it & left Bangalore at around 9:30 Pm, was in Mysore by 12:00, stayed in Kamath,

the next day We had excellent breakfast at Mahesh Prasd, left for Bandipur, from there via Mudhumalai went to Nilambur, here there is around 35 kms of Yellow lined twisters haven, complete center stand scraping, Enjoyed the route, by the end of the road, was feeling Daisy will all that swing !!. We reached Manjeri Town we rode to kotakal, then to Thrissur, My brother has a Migraine head aech by now & we stayed in a Junk hotel called National Traveler house they indicated 1000Rs per room & wuile checkout charged 1500 adding tax & extra person which was not explained earlier !!

The Next day 25th Sunday, we rode towards Chalakudi, had excellent breakfast again at sri krishna hotel, then via angamaly Perunbavoor Kotamangalam to Thattekad Bird Sanctuary.

This is a Birders Haven, although we were there at ODD time around 10:30 am we hired a guide at 150 Rs an hour & went around the 25Squre kms park, for like 3 hours, by the end of it, I wanted to sty there for the night in the park watch tower (1500 Rs per night for 2 including food) or at the home stay at the entrance @ 700 rs per night) but we had to be back in Bangalore by Monday noon (eclipse you see) so left the sanctuary & rode out till Coimbatore, stayed in hotel Tamil nadu in gandhi puram will recommend this for stay during the track days too, the hotel guy by our dress code we had come to use the track had good food at annapornasheari opposite to the hotel & did some great shopping nearby, all brander shirts like Tommy Lives ... at 150 Rs the labels are torn but the logos on the shirt pocket still in place, export cancellation has its toll Dockers pants @ 300 Rs and much more ...

The next day 26th Jan out of Coimbatore enroot to Bangalore our plan was to take the Salem route but followed the Bangalore board that takes you via Stayamangalam, enroot an idiotic Eicher driver tried to over take a truck in an empty road, seeing me approach too, gave him a nice scare by not getting off the road & his vehicle kind of skidded, I could see the charsee bend as he tried to sewer the front but the back stayed in course ...
At an other turning S curve there was oil spilt, I was pillion with my Cousin Raju, but the Michelin pilot sports held on by slipping & again Thanks god getting the traction back Immediately I was like 80's I think.

Had great food at Saty, continued climb of Satayamagalam forest (missed the erode Salem route, Got some very cool bird pice enroot, saw many buses struggle the climb, Just at the border there were lots & lots of Birds.

From Satyamangalsm we came down to Chamarajanagare Did not take Nangangude road but did a mistake by taking the Kollegal route, Oh man the time was running out we had to get back home before 2:00 pm Eclipse, and the road reminded me of Marsmic la !! My Bro took off without stopping for any refreshments or bird pics his fuse was off by now Then we reached Maravalli. From there we joined Mysore road Just after Maddur Then on I was locked at 120, Saw many Bulleters here caught up with my bro just before nice road & reached home by 2:30, the eclipse was like Turning on my Xenon, I have never seen Sun so so very bright.

A trip after a long break of 3 months after return from the Himalayas concluded without any mishaps, nice snaps and back to my routine life.

    Cheers
    Sunil

                          Hi HiSunil,
Lovely pics. Why many of them or soft? Getting as many shots is really nice. Nice write-up there too. What is the gear you used?

The curvy roads are really inviting. There is quite a luggage on Karizma.
