This is my post and thread back here, so please ignore the mistakes

This ride happened some 2-3 months back posting it now..
4 of us from Bangalore decided to spend the independence day in a better way and thus came up the plan of Bangalore-Madikeri-Bekal Fort-Muzhipulangad-Kozhikode-Nilambu-Ooty- Bangalore.
And here is the route we have taken http://tinyurl.com/ldaxeex
And here how it starts..
Day 1
As per plan it was me, Rohith, Charan and Soumyajit who continued our journey..
The plan was to meet at Nice Road junction at 4.45 am..me and Rohith were on time and Charan joined us soon.
Soumyajit text ed me informing he will be late due to some reasons, once he came down got to know Gaurav who was supposed to join us had
a fall from his bike, called Gaurav to check if his bike can make - he also wasn't sure so we 4 continued...
The 1st break was around 50-60km later only and I can bet you all that had the best chatni till date there, after a good breakfast next stop
decided was My momo break at byllakupe and we reached there around 9.30 am and got to know momo will be served after 11, my heavy heart made my movememnt tougher,
still decided to visit the tibetian monestry..
Once we reached there Rohith stood outside with our horses-as he wasnt interested to go inside, we 3 went inside..
And here are some images from there...

Prayer time..

Then we decided that will stop at Coorg Cuisine as Rohith wanted to taste the pondy curry, we reached Madikeri amidst rains only to found out that the place will is closed

Called up Raihan who was at Kasargod and told him we are at Madikeri.
Then came up the next part of the journey...Madikeri to Sulya the last 23km stretch of the roads were just like my late
granny's teeth...nothing visible..it took us ample time to reach Sulya halted there for our lunch and started for Ananthapuram Temple..
We couldnt reach Ananthapuram temple due to wrong guidance so started our way towards Bekal, on the way some clicks..
The Good Kerala Roads..

It was a monumental task clicking this bridge image as both way traffic was interested in smashing pedestrians

The view from the bridge...

Finally we reached Bekal and Raihan bhai was there to help us find an accommodation, he has helped us a lot during there..
After getting a decent place for 4 of us, it was beach time!!
I quickly got rid of the riding gears and dressed up in shorts and sleeveless and went for the beach, on the way stopped for a tea break....
Once we got into the beach was awe-stuck...I have seen bulk of the beaches in India except Gujrat and Kanyakumari( due to me and my parents both share a soft-corner for beaches
) but this one thanks to Raihan bhai is now the best beach which I have seen till date...Pristine water, no crowd and the clouds were dramatic..
2 decent and 2 retard

Quickly clicked some and waited for sunset, but due to clouds was disappointed that cant see the sunset

So did some water splashing, then after 10 mins Soumyadip told me 'Dada wont you click this one'?
Turned back and was dumb folded, the sky looked like a vibgyor with orange, pink and blue mixture..
Got out of the water and then was just click click click

Some images from there...

After dark we left the beach, on the way we halted to get personal engine oil for Charan, Soumya and Rohith

Came back to our room, brought food and ate and then crashed to the bed...
Day 2
The order of the day...visit Kasargod harbour and then visit Bekal, Bekal, Bekal...
But the rain gods of Kerala had other ideas..they wanted us to skip the harbour visit plan and just concentrate on beautiful bekal, we had to oblize them..
When they stoped their showering for some moments we started a walk towards Bekal fort, and once we reached there it was just green, green, green all the way..
It rained also there but somehow managed to click some images so without further talking here are they ...
Green-Green-Green..

The plan was to reach Paithalmala after Bekal Fort visit.
Heavy rain, bad-terrible roads made the distance more distant..
Paithalmala was just around 20kms away and time on the clock was 3.45pm, yes we can do it

Suddenly Soumyadip dim-dipped and asked me to stop....his rear brake was not working!!!!
I asked him to just wait for 10-15 minutes as because of excessive braking the break-pads got jammed once it cools off it will again start working...
He was no I had to get it rectified and we rode back 10kms inside the city to find a mechanic, and once we reached to the mechanic and took the bike for a spin, I took off my shoes to give soumyadip his due affection!!!
The brakes were working perfectly fine and it was the issue I said - we 3 were ready to beat him up
Time was 4.30pm at the clock and the mechanic said not to visit Paithalmala at that time as we wont be able to trek up and it will be filled with leeches..
With a heavy heart we rode our way to Muzhappilangad , we were riding at a decent speed and then all of a sudden the pink-kerala F1 Bus drivers took the heart out with their amazing riding skills, got so much shocked by that incident and ripped off completely after that to concentrate more, had to wait for long for Soumya, Charan and Rohith to catch up with me..
We crossed Kannur at no time and then zoomed to Muzhappilangad, then it was around 7.00pm and we made our way through the beach where I was hell-bent to get a resort near to the beach and what a resort we found, we took 2 rooms and the prices were very reasonable.
We happy souls then after a bath went to the beach which was just 10meters away from our place..Rohith, Charan and Soumajit ordered beer and me consumed some 7up

A night image from the beach...

P.S - the camera shutter was open for 25 seconds so we all posed like that

After it we had a heavy dinner with home made chicken and roti. Rohith and Charan went for sleep whereas me and Soumya went for a walk on the beach, it started raining so we came back at the resort and went for sleep

Day 3
My morning started at morning 6.30 am took out my camera and went for the beach snaps, Soumyadip joined me soon..
And Charan and Rohith woke up after some time where we went for the drive-in...

We were here..

And here comes the guardian of the place...

After our photoshoot at Muzhipulangad Beach its Ooty time. On our way back to the hotel it started raining heavily.
After packing up all the stuffs had our breakfast.
And called my all time dependable GPS/ MAP Phanikar which could be the best way to reach Ooty from Muzhipulangad. He suggested the best way and also predicted by the time we are starting wont be able to reach Ooty before sun-set, did we proved him right?
Once we left the hotel, next stop was Mahe - for petrol. It was 69 INR there and in 800 I had a full tank

The rain god were pouring their love constantly, the duck back raincoats also have given up!!!
We wanted to have biriyani at Kozhikode so decided next stop will be there, and as earlier decided will stop before the entrance of the Kozhikode city. I was leading, halted 1 km before Kozhikode city and Soumya joined me in 10 minutes. There were no signs of Charan and Rohith. After calling them got to know they halted 8km back to a diversion and want us to come back to that point. Was not in a mood to go back again as it was same with Soumya so we decided we will proceed and asked them to catch us up on Nilambur. We two reached Nilambur and Charan & Rohith were still far away so we decided the next meetup point will be Guddalur.
Once we left Nilambur and started our way back to Gudalur the cold nippy wind started blowing.. we had small photography breaks and then reached Gudalur..
We waited for the rest of the group to meet up at Gudalur and they reached there... And guess what we were at Gudalur around 5.30pm we proved Phanikar right by a bigger margin

Soumya's bike head light was not so good so he was tailed by Rohith and Charan.
Around 6.45 pm once we were 10km away from Ooty, a Nilgai suddenly came in between the road and halted there for few seconds and then left. I guess Soumya also have seen him.
We reached Ooty and then got ourselves a very good hotel room, crashed our luggage, got rid of the wet clothes and went for Ooty Market and went for dinner shopping...
Came back home, had our tummy full dinners and then crashed to bed with dreams of Emerald lake next day..

So here comes the last day ...
Day 4
We all planned we will get up early on day 4 and will leave for Avalance and Emerald Dam, with this plan we went to bed.
Plan was to wake up at 8am, have breakfast and continue our trip. Ooty weather, cold waves and the warm blanket held up to the bad till 10am in the morning. Lazily we all woke up and went for breakfast and did our shopping. We shopped huge amount of chocolates.
We started from the hotel around 1pm and continued till Avalanche and Emerald. The weather was beautiful, winds were chilling in a single word it was just 'Awesome'. After our sight-seeing we started our journey back to Bangalore.
While ascending down we got to know that 36-hair pin route is blocked and we had to go through Gudalur route. While coming down it started raining heavily and visibility became very less so we started riding cautiously. We reached Masinagudi entrace around 4.30pm and plan was to cover Bandipur by 5.30pm at least.
We covered our journey within the stipulated target time and reached Gundlupet by 6pm and from there Rohith took the Kanakpura road to Bangalore, whereas me, Soumyajit and Charan took the usual Mysore- Bangalore highway.
Including a break at Maddhur CCD we reached Bangalore around 10.30 pm, it was a fun - filled 4 days trip. With that signing off the trip log
