  • A Hillside Ride

And so 2013 waved goodbye and vanished into the fog. We managed to wind the year up with a ride to the coast. Christmas came with the joy of friendships, family and fun. The celebrations ran into the New Year with some more of the above.

So another year stretched before us and through my partisan eyes it looked very much like a highway! So like we love to start the day with a hot cup of coffee, we decided to start the year with short ride.

Anyway, we decided to leave early morning to get a feel of the fog and mist and get back home for lunch. Little did we know that Mr. Fog had a surprise for us and gave it to us in overdose!

My helmet visor was getting totally wet and when I put it up my glasses got the treatment, maybe I should get wipers for my visor and glasses (??) like Elton John!

The rest will be up soon

    Cheers!

Biking is not about what you have between your legs, its all about how well you use it!!!!!!!

Thank you so much Monk, happy to have you around again. The Auto Expo must have been a blast (?) I'm sure you must have felt like a kid in a candy factory

Since there was no hope in the near future of me getting wipers for my glasses a la Sir Elton John, my only option was to stop every few minutes to manually wipe them. After a few episodes of this irritating ritual, I decided to take off my glasses and ride without them. "I can see, I can see" I exclaimed as I rode comfortably ahead to my panicking wifey's query, "are you fine"? Thankfully the power of my specs are just +1 so everything was just cool!

Very soon the fog cleared up like magic and as the complicated humans that we are I started to miss it. Damm! One minute we grumble and the next we long for it!

There was so much traffic going and coming from the hill that we begin to wonder... though it's always a pleasure to see so many bikers around, things were surely getting a little too crowded, not to mention the commercialization which has overrun the place. But then it still is a short getaway for Bangaloreans to break away to.

      Cheers

The ride up the hill is a short one and the traffic was getting thicker by the minute. All kinds of vehicles were moving in both directions and we somehow quickly reach the top.

The pleasantly cool weather and some lovely views around made the ride worthwhile.

Soon more and more crowds started pouring in. Busloads of noisy and boisterous visitors and cars by the dozen! Okay we said, enough is enough, we're outta here ! A few more quick clicks and we jump on our bike take off pronto!

              Cheers Guys!

Sure thats a nice breakfast ride for us bangaloreans Ravi.
Just that a relatively decent breakfast at Nandi Hills can be had only at the foothills

Yes Haroon it sure is, and given the short distance it's always easy to do without planning And yes, in spite of the heavy weekend crowds or maybe because of it, it sure is hard to get a decent breakfast!
