The Camera and the lens were still not up and it affected the quality of pics

Started off from Om Beach and headed towards Goa. Meanwhile the chain was all over the place.

Got it tightened and lubricated at Ankola.

Enroute: Kudle beach in the backdrop.

Reached Karwar and surprised my friend in his office with all riding avatar. Can't forget those expressions!!
    Haven't got the pic though

After bidding adieu to my friend and his startled colleagues , headed towards Goa at 3 pm.It Rained throughout the way till Panaji.

The road from Karwar to Goa is very green and in monsoon it gets greener and better. Also the roads get narrower in Goa. Need to be careful of the on road traffic.
Thought of staying at Vasco but eventually gave up and went to Calangute for the night stay.

The initial plan was to stay overnight in Goa and start up north towards Pune and return back to Bangalore via NH4.
But even if you have a plan, there's always a plan which comes from don't-know-where!!
My close friend advised me to take a break from riding and enjoy the moment. Enjoy the place! Enjoy the time!
This hit a chord somewhere within me, and I had a lots of questions popping out. Finally decided to stay for another day in Goa.

Spend Day 4 in Goa lazying around the beaches.

Some clicks and sorry No chicks!!

      Day 5:

When you are on road, you don't know what's gonna come your way!

After a well deserved rest at Goa, headed towards the unknown - MAHARASTRA .

As usual got up late, called up my boss and asked for extension of absence from sanity , which she quietly obliged .

Have been to Maharastra , but not through the Konkans.

And I have to tell you, was spell bound by the beauty and the roads.

Was a treat to go through lush greens and grey skies.

Even in those monsoon months, roads were butter smooth and lots of twisties enroute.

With no destination on mind, I was taking it slow and steady and enjoying the bits that nature threw at me.

Had heard of Ratnagiri and pinned that on my place to stay that night.

As I said, there's always something intriguing, that it blows your mind.

It started raining only to add some spice to the tadka .

Hit this beautiful section near Rajapur and was stunned and hypnotised by its beauty.

I will make pics do the talking now

The word had spread fast and the guys from the nearby village came to me for the informal interrogation

Luckily these were a group of young enthusiastic people who wanted to know, what on hell was I doing there.

With a usual round of questions and a little bit of sharing, we had a round of photo session
      And I did oblige

Bid adieu to these wonderful people and head to Ratnagiri.

After a few kilometres took a diversion from the Mumbai-Goa highway and was on way to Ratnagiri through the TABLE-TOPS .

For a person who has only been in plains or the hills, this was a different kind of experience.

The table tops were a geography of different kind. You ascend one table top in a straight line and then descend it in the simplest way.

      A much recommended ride!!

Reached Ratnagiri and straight away asked for directions to Ganapatiphule.

After a 20 mins struggle in the traffic was in the direction of Ganapatiphule.

      Enroute

      The sea-breeze was soothing!!

Reached Ganapathiphule and was mobbed by a group of agents for the accommodation.

Got into a lodge for Rs 400/- and then visited the Ganapati temple ashore.

Ganapatiphule is a piligrimage centre , so one cannot expect Liquor shops here.

But there is an MTDC resort for the rescue for the thirst-quenchers .

Called it a day after an adventurous time on road.

Day 6, 7 and 8 will be coming at a go

      Cheers

Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.
