On Day1 after starting off my ride, and covering 100kms i did ask myself, why am i gambling on this ?

but now i can say, i had the most memorable 8 days of my life ever and in particularly because of the Honda Activa....

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

If you come across this board while climbing the 36 hairpin bend road, you are still alive....
this particular strech of road was the only part i was scared off throughout the ride, but surprisingly the small 110cc engine performed very well and pulled off as if no big deal, although i was wishing all the way i shdve had a Royal Enfield for this strech to climb up, nevertheless i was happy that i need not worry much about gear changes and could enjoy the view cruising smoothly on a automatic scooter...

although iam not a fan of anything that is automatic, that day i didnt mind as i was enjoying the view in a very relaxed way....

we did spot couple of trucks, autos breakdown on the way up and almost every car smelled of burning clutch....this road is definitely not for people who can not understand the risks behind mindless riding/driving...

NOTE: "Hyderabadi Biriyani Sirf Hyderabad Meinch Milti, Baahar Sob Duplicate Biriyani Milti...Agar Hyderabadi Biryani khaana hai toh Hyderabad Meich khaa sakte"
(Hyderabadi biriyani is made only in hyderabad and you can not find the same authentic hyderabadi biriyani else where in any corner of this world)... trust me !

Again it's not the CC that matters it's the spirit that matters.
BTW how did the FZ 2.0 fare in the hills? I know this is a little OT but couldn't help myself from asking it.

well the FZ was flawless, just that they were struggling with pillion seat comfort.. we were not in any hurry so we never pushed the bike....what was surprising was the fuel economy fz returned ! we were riding at 80kmph constant and the fz could do 600kms on a tankfull....although fuel economy was not a topic of concern....the tire hugger was a one of the best thing on bike specially in rains and it works perfectly unlike on many other bikes ive seen...it helped them to stay clean when going through wet roads...

Woh, Active in action, one question didn't the Activa rider feel less fun, specially on hill just because very its to easy to ride.

And how about the new FZ compare to old FZ on hills, as power is reduced?

Re: Deccan to Nilgiris Road Trip

This was our 4th day of trip and we decided to go around ooty....we were not relying on google maps and wanted to things old school way hence the only GPS we had was asking for places and directions in a language which we could neither speak or understand....usually people start talking in tamil and we somehow understood what they mean with their body langauge and tone. and just incase we couldnt understand anything only then we used to say "tamil illlay which gave them a idea that whatever they had explained us in past 2 minutes went in vain and then they used to explain again in english or if luckky hindi"

we started our day by getting the yamaha and honda serviced at dealers early morning(the number of vehicles in workshop is far lesser than what i generally see in hyderabad so they promised delivery within 1-2 hours and they didnt break their promises....the reason behind getting activa and fz serviced was both of them were just 1 month old and had 1000kms on odo when we had started......

although we made sure we didnt start speeding directly on highway, thanks to xbhp and numerours posts about running in period which i had read years back and was aware off ! we didnt push our vehicles as soon as we hit highway...

                        coming back to our day...

Woh, Active in action, one question didn't the Activa rider feel less fun, specially on hill just because very its to easy to ride.

And how about the new FZ compare to old FZ on hills, as power is reduced?
i was the one who rode activa all the way from hyderabad-ooty-hyderabad...in terms of having fun...well depends on what defines fun ! for me that day fun was enjoying the view, keeping safety as my highest priority coz we rode in rains mostly and on damp roads most of time.....

FZ was good aswell ! it performed just as any 150 cc bike would perform where one had to downshift to 1st gear even on hairpin bends...and regarding powerloss....i doubt anyone would feel it bcoz it is just a mere 1 bhp...i would say negligible....but fuel injection did make the bike very responsive and fuel efficient(the areas which they were trying to improve fz)

i sat here for almost 30mins enjoying the present moment of life.....these were those days when i was neither rejoicing the past moments of life nor i was looking forward for future...i just wanted to live in present and never wanted it to end....

I clearly understand what you meant by this.... Its to run away from routines of life that we head out to in search of places to give us peace like this. Im sure a lot of solo travellers will agree with me on this. They will surely have a grin on their faces, when what they see directly translates to a smile on their hearts, the effect of being one with nature. Beautiful pictures mate
