Almost two months passed away without any ride, the bug of riding inside me have started biting me. As usual I went to Suvrajit Ganguly asking him whether he is interested to join me for a ride in coming September month. I went with a plan to go to Ooty, Wayanad and Avalanche but he suggested lets go to Gandikota and enjoy some awesome country side view. I agreed and the date was fixed somewhere around second week of September. Till now only we two were in going list because this time I wanted to ride solo or maximum two riders. Few days passed away and the plan was discussed with some other riders also. All were xBhp riders but we decided to keep it a close group ride and hence this ride was not hosted under the name of official xBhp Bangalore ride.

Ride Day: 13th September i woke up around 4:00A.M in the morning. Everything was already set, bike was in best condition to kick start the ride. At meeting point other riders were waiting for each other to come. Riders joined for this ride are:

    Suvrajit Ganguly: Bajaj Avenger 180
    Sauban Ahmad: Yamaha R15 V2
    Harshvardhan: Honda CBR150
Tapabrata: Honda CBR 250 (with a pillion : Arit)
    Madhu: Royal Enfield Electra 350

Also two riders joined us in the evening:
    Sunil Pradhan: Bajaj Pulsar NS200
    Prakash: Bajaj Avenger 220

We started the ride around 5:30A.M in the morning covering one side distance around 293km.

This is my first Tlog and I am not that good in writing, will definitely try to write in full description from my future rides. But for now you can enjoy some of the pictures I took during this ride.

Re: Ride to Gorge and Caves of India

Sorry for the little delay guys.

Part 2: All the riders joining the ride came to Esteem mall, Hebbal and the ride started around 5:35A.M. We headed towards Devenahalli followed by a quick morning tea break after riding 45km. After the tea break the main run started, we crossed Lepakshi and took a right turn towards Gorantla. Now the country side feast was about to start. After crossing Gorantla we reached Kadiri and decided to fill our hungry tummies. 30 minutes of break and again we hit the road. From Kadiri we directly moved towards Pulivendula and then Gandikota. From my past rides of tea farms this country side view made me stopped at many intervals for clicking pictures. Although the temperature was increasing but none of the riders look exhausted. When we reached Gandikota we went to the Gandikota resort/hotel which is just 500 meters before fort and gorge but unfortunately their was no room available, so we decided to go back around 12km-13km to a town name Jammalamadugu and find some accomodation.

Finding accomodation was not a big pain at J
ammalamadugu, we found a good lodge costing 350 rupees per day with one double bed in each room. After taking some rest we had our lunch around 3:00 P.M and then we went to visit the Gorge. It took around 2 hours to visit the whole place with some photography session. At evevning everyone slept for few hours and then we had dinner. Meanwhile the other two riders Sunil and Prakash joined us as they started the ride around 3:00P.M.

As per the plan next morning we were supposed to leave at 9:00 A.M for Bellum caves, but we started around 11:00 A.M for Bellum caves. Bellum caves is around 60km from Jammalamadugu. We went towards
Tadipatri and then we took a right diversion to Kolimiguntla and then Bellum Caves. The view was spoton throughout the ride. All the local crowd were staring as such we were new animals in the circus.

Bellum caves was very interesting for me because it was my first experience of visiting any cave. The temperature was increasing as we moved inside the cave. It took 3 hours to visit the whole area with some very inetrsting pictures of cave. We also did some photography of the bikes and bikers too. Around 3:30P.M we started our ride to Bangalore. From Bellum caves we went towards Tadipatri -Anantpur taking just one break for lunch and then directly Bangalore with equal intervals of butt break.

Road condition: The road condition is very good of this circuit. We did few off roading between Bellum Caves and Anantpur because road construction is going on.

                  Route we took: Bangalore-Devenahalli-Gorantla-K
                  adiri-Pulivendula-Gandikota-Jammalamadugu-Tadipatri-Kolimiguntla-Bellum Caves-Tadipatri-Anantpur-Bangalore. Total 693kms.
