The Preparations:

Day 1-2 : Hotel MCM booked at Rameshwaram

Day 2-3: Hotel Shivamurghan booked at Kanyakumari

Day 3-4: Hotel TTDC booked at Kanyakumari

Brought Vietarra saddle bags ( 2 LEH & One Claw). All of us got our bike serviced 2-3 days prior to the Ride. We were all very eager to ride hence did not make much plans for visiting the places.

Day 1 :

Bangalore - Rameshwaram

Distance Covered - 636kms

Me & Varun left left around 6AM & Reached abhi's place by 6.15. By 6.45 we were off to Rameshwamram , there was hell lot of traffic till hosur & from there on it was pretty good .We tanked up near Krishnagiri MCD & we were off againWe were cruising around 65-70 we hardly got you touch 80 because of the traffic. We took our first break at Anand Bhavan around 9.15, by then we had covered 161 kms . We had couple of dosas & idlys .The food was quiet okay. But it turned out that this was the best food we would be having for the next 2 days.

We left A2B by 9.45 & it was getting hot , Once we crossed Salem , the roads were beautiful and we started hitting good speeds , we were consistently doing 80-90km/hr. Since the roads were dead straight & empty we decided to check our bike's top speed. I Won't be mentioning the speed as I find it to be irrelevant to the travelogue. We took a small break around 12.15 as we were dehydrated.




We reached madurai around 3 & had stopped to a quick chat & to tank up my bike. By now we had covered 456kms.




Since we had to cover some distance we decided to skip lunch & had some biscuits & tender coconut instead . The sun was going down & it was much easier to ride. It's a single lane highway from madurai to rameshwaram , we maintained around 60-65 for the next few kms. We went through a lot of villages and roads were average(Lots of patches on the road). We reached Pambam Bridge around 6, the place was mesmerizing & its completely indescribable. The 600kms journey was completely worth it. We took a couple of pics we even got to see a train leaving rameshwaram. I've made a video of the same but since it was dark it had lot of noise will try to post it later. We reached the hotel by 7.30 , checked in & came to know that the Temple will be open till 8.30 , we quickly freshened up & we were off to the temple, took blessing & we headed for saravana bhavan for dinner.

Day 2 :



Rameshwaram - Dhanushkodi - Rameshwaram - Kanya Kumari


Distance Covered - 380kms


We got up early morning & left for dhanushkodi around 6.15. We reached dhanushkodi soon ,as we entered the town there were loads of sand & all of bikes rear wheel started spinning. We did not check the route which the jeeps took . We just entered through the beach (Lesson learnt) , it was very difficult to get the bikes moving. So we got down our bikes & accelerated after a couple of minutes we were on the wet land. It was mix of wet land & sand , we used the path/trails left by the jeeps. It was 5-6kms from the entrance to end point , it was very adventurous but tiring both physically & mentally.


We were just hoping we would reach the end point as we were tired , We could not stop our bikes as their were lots of sand & the bikes would just fall down. After a while we parked our bikes & Stated taking some snaps, we stayed here for an hour & half.

We then started to head back to the dhanushkodi beach. This time it was better as we knew which route to take & did not get stuck anywhere , after a couple of minutes we were at the beach. Lots of tourists had come , it had started to get crowded. We decided to had couple of tender coconuts as we were thirsty. We had some fun at the beach & took a couple of snaps. The Ocean was blue & beautiful , it was a spectacular view.




















We left for Rameshwaram as we had to check out & leave for kanya kumari. We reached around 12 the hotel, had brunch at the hotel itself. We freshened up , geared up ,got the saddle bags on the bike. Checked out of the hotel around 1.30. We reached pambam bridge took couple of snaps & we had not seen it during day time. It was crowded like anything , all the vehicles were parked on the bridge creating traffic jams. We parked our bikes near the bridge took a couple of snaps. We stayed here for around 10-15mins .
