    Trip to Munsiyari from Delhi

    Hi frens I am sharing the details of my trip to Munsiyari from Delhi.

    We started this trip on 11th Des 14 and finished this trip on 14 Dec.

    Total members who completed the trip were 4. We were 4 riders and the bikes were 2 duke 390 and 2 Thunderbird 500.

    Will post details of the trip once the moderator approves the thread.

              It all started over the weekend trip to bharatpur. It was supposed to be a weekend trip where the group was supposed to chill out. We were supposed to leave delhi on sat morning and be back by late sun afternoon. Due to delays we only hit the road by 8pm on sat evening. And 5 mins into the ride (riders who shall not be named) informed the group that they has empty tanks. What this lead to was that we reached bharatpur after midnight and sine we had to have a couple of hot drinks we slept late and then at 6 in the morning we were informed by one of the riders that it was his roka and we had to back in Delhi at the earliest. The net outcome was that we decided that we would have a 4 day ride from Delhi where we would chill out. Hence we decided on a trip to Binsar or Kausani in UKD. So how come did we land up in Munsiyari. [emoji4]

                Well my fren PT who had broken in his D390 black (one trip on Chandigarh highway FYI we just reached murthal and stopped for breakfast did 100k, second trip on Jaipur highway did 200k. Rao dhaba has good parathas. 3rd trip Agra expressway did 200k. Noida has very few options for breakfast) suggested we should go farther away from Binsar and this was a week before the planned trip. We decided we should go to Munsiyari. The plan was to start on Thursday morning and ride as close to the destination as possible. A day before the ride my fren Pt said we would have another two riders P and ST. ST was our pal from the past. Me , PT and ST did leh in 07 with another fren H. So that it made our group of 6 riders. 1 RE standard, 1 RE Elecra 350, 2 RE TBIRD 500 , 2 D390. On wed evening the decision was that we would start our ride on Wed evening at 10 and reach Munsiyari by Thursday evening. Well that was the plan [emoji4]

                      So we started on Wed evening and met riders on multiple points on NH24 last person we met was on the last flyover before you enter Ghaziabad. Since it was December and cold we wore riding jackets and pants. I was riding at night after 7 odd years and hence was pretty vague about how many layers I should wear. But being over confident I was wearing a T shirt and Pajama underneath my riding jacket and pant [emoji23] . This was the case with every other rider apart from ST who was wearing Thermals (since he is old school he wears a Jacket and jeans wit boots on his ride). The gloves that all of us except ST were wearing were vented leather riding gloves. Till we got out of ghaziabad the temperatures were manageable post which it turned very cold [emoji3] and we really felt how cold it was. Lol

                              So it was you guys that everyone around Munsiyari was talking about. Around a dozen and half people asked me if I was with you guys! Great pics!
                              Did you guys manage to get snow? I found nothing more than few heaps of old dirty snow ;(
