  • A short trip to Nagarjuna Sagar

This was a short trip from Pocharam, Hyderabad to Nagarjuna Sagar.
I planned to cover Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, NagarjunaKonda museum and Ethipothala falls on the same day as I had no plans to stay back. I started at 0600 hrs.
    reset the meters to zeros.

I had to take a country side road to connect to NH9. On the way I captured some pictures.

Got to the NH9 by 0730 hrs. Rode for another hour (with a couple of butt breaks for some 2 - 3 mins) and took a pause for breakfast at around 0830 hrs. I hit the road again and crossed Nalaconda at around 1000 hrs. A 20 km stretch of SH after Nalaconda wasn't very inspiring as it was under construction and was a pain to drive on.
However, the frustration went off when I reached the vicinty of Dam.
And here is my ride, the mighty Yamaha! Revs your heart

I reached the dam by around 1215 hrs and took a few snaps.

The next destination was Nagarjunakonda museum that is located on an island on river Krishna. After exploring the nearby areas I reached the Boat house. There is parking area available which took off the worry about parking. I hopped onto the boat at around 1400 hrs and reached the island by 1420 hrs.

    Here is the NagarjunaKonda museum.

I was anticipating that we'd return by 1500 hrs and I could visit the Ethipothala falls but the earliest boat returned only 1715 hrs. Now, I had stay so I had to cut short the journey leaving the waterfall for next time. I geared up and hit road by 1730. A dinner break at 2030 hrs at NH9 on the way back let me reach home by 2230 hrs.

By the end of the ride I had covered 383 kms in a day with a wide grin

    Thanks,

    Approved!

Nice pics. Few seem to be broken though! Kindly check the same.

Nice log. The first few pictures are not appearing though.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.
