    "Hogenakkal" just for fun ride.

    After last week's mettur solo ride, today went to Hogenakkal with my best friend Prakash.

    I'd like to say that you *should*:
    1. Wear full face helmets.
    2. Avoid slippers/sandals.
    3. Wear some kind of protective clothing.
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
    Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!

      Thank you sharan for your valuable advice.we both are very new to biking.Just bought the bike a month ago.since Salem is a small city, good riding gears are not available here.We are planning to get them from Bangalore shortly.

        Target(Destination):

        Just fun.(Hogenakkal.)

        Route:

        Salem=Mecheri=Pennagaram=Hogenakkal.

        Total Kms:

        200kms.(up & down)

        Road conditions:

        1.Salem to Omalur=straight ,smooth NH Road with heavy traffic.

        2.Omalur to Hogenakkal= Hilly,curvy,smooth SH road with nil traffic.(only me & Prakash on the road)

        Hogenakkal:

        Very hot crowdy picnic place .
        Must be avoided in weekends.
