  • The ride after the return

When you get a new bike an if that happens to be a beast then you cant stay away from riding it for long. Here again I was away for almost two weeks far far away from it. On the way back I decided that a ride cant wait anymore and i was to ride as soon as i reached Bangalore. Another reason was that second service was pending so why not do it after a ride.

So while the train was bringing me closer to my beast, the planning started for a day's ride. First Gandikote was choosen which was later changed to Yercaud as many informed me wisely that its a two day ride if i wanted to soak in the beauty.

It being a weekday not many were available for the ride. Luckily one of the knogs Akash took leave and agreed to come along. He rides the green and dressed up beast. My train was supposed to reach Bangalore at 6am so we narrowed down to 7am start which as usual became 7.30am start. Reached home, freshened up and took out the beast. Dad was furious as I was hardly home for 30 min and am going out again. Haha that's what I hear when i go out for rides, so gave the usual innocent smile and left home.

Met up at Jaguar showroom and started the ride. Soon stopped at Hosur McDonalds as thats a compulsory stop for me when even I go through that way. And it being early, they had only breakfast menu which I hate. I really wish they would serve the usual meal there no matter whats the time. Common its on the highway man and breakfast menu is far from filling. So we ate at the adjacent restaurant whose name I forgot.

Next stop was salem. I couldnt help smile when I saw a signboard warning that the ghat section was starting. I love smooth curves especially if it meant cornering. I am comfortable with my fz for cornering but cornering with the beast was something new and I wanted to see if I can continue my love for corners on the beast too. The ghat section was a trial for what was waiting in Yercaud. The beast passed with flying colors.

Once we reached Salem, it was hell. The roads were filled with vehicles and the drivers had no respect for road etiquette. And then we came out and saw the board which declared that we had to pay for the Yercaud road.

Boy oh boy, the grin on my face was so wide. Finally some cornering on the beast. The roads were beautiful except for few bad patches and most importantly devoid of traffic. I took the lead and plunged into the corners. I cant help smiling now that I am reminded of the curves again. The best roads after the kudremukh ones which I tested with my fz. We just flew through the road and in no time reached the top. 20 hair pin bends conquered. On the top we couldnt find anything so took few pictures as customory and then returned home. Sorry to disappoint you guys but we both love to just taken in the beauty of the land and the ride and we forget to take pictures as we didnt have any action camera to take the videos or pictures. We sorely regretted not getting a camera.

Anyways enough talking and here are the few pictures taken.
