xBhp - We Love You Ride : Day - 1

On first week of March I got an invitation to a facebook event Northeast Bikers Mega Meet on 22^nd^th March 2015. As I could not set the data settings of my new mobile so I called my friend Jatin Kakoti as he has a mobile of same brand. He is a biker of our group and participated in some day long rides organized by our club. He helped me out in the settings of the phone and then I asked him to be my pillion for next three days. First he denied as he will not get office leave then I told him we can ride after office, he asked me some time o think. I was sure that his reply will be negative. At 10.30 PM he call me up and confirmed his participation. I was in cloud 9 and immediately gave a facebook status update and started to pack my bag happily.

On 21 March 2015 I got up early and got ready. I went to my office and came back at 10.30 AM. We were already getting late and now I was not getting the riding gears without which my mom would not let me start the ride. The 500Kms journey usually takes 12hrs by bus. I found it after 20 mins and started my journey at 11AM. I picked Jatin on the way. It was decided that we will try to maintain an average speed of 60kms to reach Guwahati before hotel closes. W will not stop before 1hour continuous ride and will give the bike rest for 5mins after riding continuously for 2hrs.

We reached Sivasagar bypass and got a road blockade by some student union protesting for some reasons. We wasted our valuable 10 mins and reached Jorhat by 2.30 PM where we stopped for few mins to meet a friend. We reached to taste the famous delicious puris served in Banana leaves with Pera at Gopal Krishna Mithai Dukan, Bokakhat.

When we were crossing Kaziranga it was getting dark. We stopped for few mins and clicked the last photos of the day.

We decreased our speed and started riding swiftly and reached Nagaon Bypass. The chain of my unserviced bike started making wired noise. The lubricant of the chain had dried up. We were lucky to find a service center nearby and got it fixed. The mechanic was very excited to hear our experiences and he gave a thorough check up for the bike and charged a nominal amount. We had our dinner at Jagiroad and reached our Hotel at Pan Bazar, Guwahati at 10.15 PM. We parked the bike in the Hotel and retired to bed with a dream of an awesome ride next day.

Day 2 - The Mega Northeast Bikers G2G

On 22^nd March 2015 we got up late, took bath and rushed to the meeting point in front of Pantaloons Mall without having breakfast. We reached the spot by 7.15 AM lots of bikers gathered in the spot. Firstly we meet Avinash Sir (The Monk) and Sunil Gupta of xBhp Headquaters of Delhi with Kaushik Dutta of xBhp Assam. Then we met Manashri Mam, Ashim Sir, Thuski, Neelam, Mayur etc etc. We were really excited to meet everyone in real life whom we know for a long time online. After the Initial briefing and felicitation ceremony we met the other members from xBhp Delhi Headquarters Sundeep Goswami (Old Fox) and Sandeep Gajjar (Sunny). DCP of Guwahati Pranabjyoti Goswami Sir flagged off the ride and we started riding following the Batman Sunny. Nearly 150 motorcycles started riding the biggest motorcycle rally in the history of Northeast India.

After breakfast we started riding again, we reached a new fly over and asked a policeman the way to Shillong. He asked to continue riding through a beautiful bridge. We stopped near a lake for some photos where we meet some of our bikers and we continued riding towards shillong.

We reached Barapani where we meet Meghalaya xBhpians and other bikers group who came to join the event. We rode together till Queens Resort in Upper Shillong. Nearly 250bikers were there in the resort. The event was organised in a grand way in Beautiful Conference Hall in the Resort. Some bikers, journalist, policemen were felicitated and had some interactive talk. Then Avanash Sir asked me for a video shoot for the #thankyouride documentary. I was unprepared for it but somehow managed and said whatever I felt in that moment. Then we rushed to the food corner but they were already empty. The hungry Bikers and Bikerini ate away everything served. After few minutes delicious food arrived and we had our lunch.

After Lunch xBhp showed their Great Indian Collectors Ride Documentary in the hall. Then some of bikers decided to go for a short ride and other will return back. We decided to join the ride and bid bye to other bikers. We were on the way to Cherrapunji and Dauki. The roads were so beautiful that we stopped every few metres and waved others to continue riding. After half an hour of riding we decided to return back with an hope of returning to the adobe of clouds soon.
