Part 1:


"Always walk with the wiser. If none are there, walk alone." Motto when you go SOLO.


When people hear Rameshwaram, the first thing that comes to their mind is that I am very Dharmik but its nothing like that. I always wanted to visit important destinations of South where Rameshwaram and Kanyakumari topped my list.

So after getting help from Google and other biking sites I was fully prepared for my long Solo ride.



This was how I planned my itinerary. (I am not a Doctor sorry for my bad handwriting)



Got my bike serviced. One important thing which I learnt while going through many blogs was to ride the bike for atleast 100-150 kms after the bike gets serivced. This helps in getting familiar with the bike after servicing. Meter reading 8661 KMS.



It's not at all surprising when you find a biker waking up as early as 4 am and sometimes getting late to office by 2-3 hours.



Since I started early in the morning. It was a smooth ride on the NH 7 highway. It was my first piss break.



Reached Salem, by this time and my body fuel level went low. Wanted to have something badly.



I kept passing by few good resturants. Finally settled with this one.

By 12 pm I was in Madhurai. Thats the famous Meenakshi temple.



One for proof that I was here. Trust me I was sweating like a pig.



Mighty Sun god was all over me.



While riding to a place like Rameshwaram one should always be hydrated. I kept having coconut water at regular intervals. Didn't find any good resturants in that highway. So coconut water was my only option.


Road towards Rameshwaram is a 2 lane highway without a divided and one should be careful while riding on this highway. Its around 177kms from Madhurai. And most of the time I was having trouble with oncoming buses. Stupid drivers.



Just few kms before Rameshwaram came across this place Mandapam.

After few photo session at Mandapam, I headed towards Rameshwaram. Riding for hours under the Sun, I was totally exhausted by now.




As I reached there I was stuck by beauty of the bridge with ocean on both sides of the road. I was again charged up.

After crossing Pamban bridge an idiot came from wrong side and simple rammed against me. Although nothing major happened but one of my rmv broke.



The day when I arrived in Rameshwaram was very auspicious. Something which had to do with purnima moon and all. It was a major blow to my trip expense. All the hotels were booked finally I settled for Hotel Daiwik. Since I was fully exhausted, I badly needed some rest. It was a very comfortable stay.

Got refreshed and left for Pamban bride for some photoshoot.






Met a CBR rider from Chennai. Was very happy to meet him. He gave me all details about Dhanushkodi. Asked him about ASC of honda near but his asnwer was not very positive. He told me that there was one near Tiruveni which was quite far from Rameshwaram





This bridge connects Pamban Island to Indian Land. Means I made foreign Trip.



A total of 645 Kms travelled.
