).It was a trip to remember, however, ever since it was back to mundane life. Wake-up, commute to office 30 Kms, work, commute back home ( 30 Kms), sleep and the cycle continues. The stress of a monotonous routine was getting into me, and I desperately needed a break.
Called up few friends, and luckily they were all available for the ride to Dapoli on 25th and 26th April 2015. We were 10 during planning stage, and finally it was 6 of us that made the journey.
1. Hussain Bhai - Ninja 300
2. Yogesh (Baba) - RC 390
3. Amit - Duke 390
4. Hafeez Bhai - CBR250
5. Nilesh (Bhalu) - Duke 200
6. Me - Ninja 300
As Nilesh had some work early in the day on 25th April, it was decided we leave in 2 groups, Me and Hussain Bhai early in the day at 6 am, while Baba, Amit and Nilesh would start later at around 9 am.
Until now Hafeez was not sure about the ride.
As with any ride, I got too excited, and found it hard to string together 5 to 6 hours of sleep. Got up at 5, woke up Hussain Bhai, and I got back to getting ready for the trip.
Bike reads 13000 Kms, for some it is unlucky, never been a concern for me
Luggage loaded and I am ready to move.
Met Hussain Bhai en-route on Palm Beach road, and then we headed towards Dutta Snacks. Poor soul had to wait for around 30 mins for me, all thanks to my building watchman who decided to lock all the grills and gates, before he went off to sleep in Neverland.
Dutta Snacks:
Dutta Snacks needs no introduction, however for people who are unaware, it is one of the oldest food joints, and the taste has remained same ever since.
You got to try Misal Pav, Poha, Vada Pav, I am sure you cant stop at one, and it is easy to over-eat.

Hafeez Bhai gave us a pleasant surprise when he showed up on the last moment while we were having breakfast and then it was me, Hussain Bhai and Hafeez Bhai that made the start.
Breakfast done, coffee in stomach, we were all set to ride. We decided to take Khopoli-Imagica Adlabs-Nagothane route, to beat traffic at Wadakhal Naka. The route was good, with less traffic. However a small stretch between the turn from Khopoli and Imagica is bad, barring that the road is great with some nice corners. You got to be careful though, and watch out for usual suspects - dogs, cattle and of-course humans.
Some pics to make it more interesting.
Its good to have foodies in the group, makes the trip that much more yummy....

After some nice bhajjis and good coffee, we called up the trailing group. They had started by then. We geared up and were ready to roll..
And then we stopped for some Ice-cream and Cigarette break
From there on it was continous flight to Dapoli.............well almost

We had decided to skip the Kashedi ghat section and take the village road, and we finally made it to Murud, Dapoli. Resort was pre-booked (Swapnadeep resort).
The 2nd group reached half an hour after we checked in.
We had our lunch and got into our rooms for some rest.
The resort is bang on the beach, and it is very good. People going with their family can check this option. Google the name of the resort for contacts.
For the lunch we had order fish thali, it was ok, not upto the Dapoli standards that we usually have. But, then it was inconsistent, the group that arrived after us, found their fish to be delicious

The trip read 241.9 KM at the resort, from Vashi, Navi Mumbai.
And then we had some fun, wait..loads of fun..
Some intense discussion on Global Warming after the fantastic meal.
Babaji ki Jai Ho!!!
We spent some time in our resort in the evening, and then headed out to try other venues for dinner. We were all satisfied this time.
And then we had long chat before we hit the sack.
It was the best sleep I had in days, and next morning after a good breakfast of Poha, Omlette and coffee we prepared for the return journey.
This time we planned to take the Kashedi Ghat, and we were more than happy for what the ghat had in store for us.
**Please don't try this at home

Some cornering session

From there it was non-stop ride to home with a lunch break in between and a couple of water breaks. Thanks to all the people who made this ride a memorable one.
The total distance for the trip.
Baby Midori used 14 litres of fuel, thats an impressive mileage of 35 km/litre

A nice way to get past 13,000 KMs mark.
Hope you guys enjoyed the write-up. Feedback is welcome.
