  • [Photo Feature]: Into the wild,The Dangs

Hello guys. Just did a three days wonderful trip to The Dangs, Gujarat. Just wanted to share some pics wid you ppl. Hope you enjoy.
Please excuse the low quality pics. Just had a SE 810 and a point and shoot Kodak (that too with a incorrect date info).

The Dangs is a southern district in gujarat, predominately tribal, scarcely populated and wildly beautiful.

Route followed: (theory behind it-as long as possible)
    Vadodara-Surat-Bardoli-Songarh-Mahal-Ahwa-Waghai-Saputara-BED.
    BED-Gulkund-Ahwa-Chinchali-LOST!!-Chinchali again-Subeer-LOST!!-some forest road-Navapur-BED.
    BED-Surat-Vododara-HELL( Synonym OFFICE)
    Riders:
    Me-saji_rossi ( R15) worldly name-Sajib Baruah
    And five of my frens.

    Everyone except for me

    Into the wild:

    Please ignore the incorrect date.

    the dramatic trees!!

    We had her for company

    Sunset at saputara.

    sleepy head!!!

    nough for the day...
but the next day we did some wonderful corners and then some more...ate strawberries...rode crest and humps into the wild...and managed to get ourself LOST.
    Perfect.

sure dude...just a lil busy wid office at the moment...by the way in my opinion saputara is nowhere as beautiful as the rest of dangs...must go to those remote places in dangs..i think its worth it.

            few pics from day 2

Even after some 'good spirit' in the nite we were able to hit the road quite early.
            sunrise at Saputara

Our T-Bird just loves to pose...

            Had these as breakfast....ymmm

My R15 worked brilliantly,on roads as well as absolutely no roads, albeit wid a little complain.
            Seen here taking the plunge

The beauty of this place is that it is so untouched. Its as if somebody laid some wowsome winding roads and then completely forgot abt it.Well almost..

Throughout the trip we had some wowsome roads, staright, winding through forest...I am coming back again this monsoon.

Well untill we got lost that is...Then roads vanished into these...

Actually in the morning we had planned to explore subeer's forest and a place which was supposed to be the higgest point arround here.
We never found it.Ironically the place was named DON.
Having lost we took some local help.

He told us that we could find a road just the other side of the hill.
So we blasted up the hill.

From the top we saw this fence/barricade.

We were sure there was a four lane highway on the other side of it.
well this is wat we saw on the other side.

Ofcorse there was a road(c the red arrow) but i wont call that a four laner.
Neway we did have to take it.

We felt like 16 Bhp odd mountain GOATS.

            Calculating the freefall, just incase...
End of the day everybody was happy to be back on tar.
            .
Getting LOST sometime can be great.
